Xiaomi Redmi 6 smartphone will be available to purchase during a Flash Sale today. The versatile affordable Android handset will be up for grabs on Indian eCommerce platform Flipkart and Xiaomi India Mi Store.
The Redmi 6 is part of the popular Xiaomi Redmi 6 Series that launched a few weeks back. The series consists of three highly affordable yet feature-packed smartphones. The other two devices besides the all-purpose budget smartphone Redmi 6, are entry-level Redmi 6A, and the upper-end budget Android phone, the Redmi 6 Pro. Among these, the middle variant, the Redmi 6 smartphone will be available on the two websites.
Interestingly Xiaomi has been rather selective about the Redmi 6 Series. While the Redmi 6A and the Redmi 6 Pro have been part of a few Flash Sales earlier, the Redmi 6 doesn’t appear with similar frequency. The Redmi 6A and the Redmi 6 Pro sell on Amazon India. Redmi 6: Price, Sale Today on Flipkart and Xiaomi Mi Store
The Xiaomi Redmi 6 comes in two memory configurations. The Redmi 6 with 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage costs Rs. 7,999. The 3GB RAM + 64GB internal storage variant of the smartphone costs Rs. 9,499. The smartphone is available in Blue, Black, and Gold colors. During today’s Flash Sale, Flipkart seems to be offering only the 3GB/32GB variant in all colors.
The Redmi 6 smartphone will go on sale on Flipkart and Xiaomi Mi Store starting at 12PM today, October 4. Buyers using Axis Bank Buzz Credit Card get five percent off. There’s also a 10 percent instant cash discount on MasterCard for ‘First Online Payment’. Also, No Cost EMI options begin at Rs. 2,667 per month. Buyers activating an Airtel SIM on their newly-acquired Redmi 6 receive instant benefits worth Rs. 1,800 along with an additional 20GB of 4G data.
Buyers heading over to Mi.com to purchase the entry-level Android smartphone get the same Airtel cash-back offer and data benefits. Redmi 6: Specifications, Features
The Redmi 6 smartphone may sport a highly affordable price tag, but it has all the relevant features. A 5.45-inch 720p display gets the 18:9 aspect ratio. A Helio P22 chipset paired with a PowerVR GE8320 GPU, works with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. The combination offers adequate power and functionality.
Despite the pricing, the smartphone manages to pack a dual camera setup with 12MP + 5MP sensors on the back, and single 5MP front facing camera. The smartphone has only a 3,000mAh battery with no Fast Charging support. The hadnset will soon run the latest MIUI 10 OS that’s based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
