Reliance Jio has announced cashback offers on purchase of 4G smartphones in partnership with Quickr. The telco will be offering cashback worth Rs. 2200 with the recharge of Rs. 198 or Rs. 299 plans on the newly-purchased smartphone. The eligible smartphone should be Quickr assured or whose IMEI number is shared with Reliance Jio.
Reliance Jio has previously partnered with different smartphone vendors to offer cashback and data benefits. This time around, the offer is valid on 4G smartphones from multiple brands that are Quickr certified. Read on to know the fill offer details.
Offer Details and Validity Period
The offer is applicable to select 4G handsets only. You can purchase the smartphone from the Quickr app or website and get it to recharge with either Rs. 198 or Rs. 299 prepaid plans. The cashback will be awarded in the form of 44 cashback vouchers of Rs. 50 each. They can be redeemed from the MyJio app on the smartphone. The offer is valid from November 29th to February 25th. Jio currently has several other partner offers running. The telco has ongoing data offers on the latest iPhones in addition to the 5% cashback EMI offer with Axis Bank and Citi Bank cards. Jio is also offering Rs. 2200 cashback as part of Jio football offer. Jio’s Monsoon Hungama offer is still in the run. Under the offer, users get the Jio Phone at an effective price of Rs. 501. The users will need to deposit Rs. 501 and exchange their old feature phones for a Jio Phone. It is important to note that the users will also need to perform a recharge of Rs. 594 that offers unlimited data and voice calling for a period of 6 months. Furthermore, Jio is also offering a festive card worth Rs. 1095 with its first generation feature phone that also gets the subscribers 6 months of unlimited data and voice calling benefits.
Jio GigaFiber May Take More Time to Roll Out
It’s been five months since Jio introduced its broadband service. The telecom operator has already announced the cities that will be getting the first wave of the Jio GigaFiber service. The broadband service is yet to launch on a full-commercial scale but the preview offer is already up and running. The offer allows the subscribers to enjoy free 100GB data per month for three months. After the preview offer ends, the subscribers can migrate to a paid plan or cancel the service altogether. Jio is also offering free installation for the service after you deposit a security fund of Rs. 4500.
Jio has still not announced the paid plans for Jio GigaFiber. However, the telco is most likely to adopt the 4G model for the broadband service. So, we can hope to see some aggressive pricing for Jio GigaFiber plans. Ever since the launch, Reliance Jio has remained aggressive with its pricing which is getting the other telcos all worked up. Speaking of, employees at BSNL has announced to go on an indefinite strike in protest of predatory pricing from Reliance Jio. The BSNL unions allege that the government is also favoring Reliance Jio, which is responsible for creating financial woes in the telecom industry. Jio has not commented on the whole fiasco yet. If the situation snowballs from here, the Jio GigaFiber rollout might get pushed back.
