ASUS Zenfone 6 Edition 30 with 12GB RAM, 512GB Internal Storage, 30-month Warranty Launched

Asus has launched the Zenfone 6 Edition 30 at the Computex event in Taiwan. The brand has launched this device to celebrate Asus’ 30th anniversary. The Asus Zenfone 6 Edition 30 is basically the Asus Zenfone 6, but with 12GB RAM + 512GB storage configuration and a 30-month warranty.

According to Asus, only 3,000 Zenfone 6 Edition 30 will be ever made. The Zenfone 6 Edition 30 will be available in an exclusive Matte Black color variant that has an “iconic Zen-inspired concentric-circle patterning” and “distinctive Edition 30 logo.”

Asus hasn’t announced the pricing of the device yet. Expect it to come with a hefty price tag though. The availability is also still unknown. In my opinion, it could be launched in only a few countries; India might not be one of them.

Apart from Zenfone 6 Edition 30, the brand has launched a few other Edition 30 products too including laptops.

Asus Zenfone 6 Edition 30 Specifications

The Asus Zenfone 6 Edition 30 features a 6.4-inch IPS LCD with Full HD+ resolution. The display is completely bezel-less and notch-less. To make this possible, Asus skipped the front-facing camera. So, what if you want to take selfies then? Well, Asus had opted for a flip camera mechanism. The flip module has a 48MP conventional + 13MP ultra-wide camera. And it flips towards the front, to act as both, the front, as well as, the rear-facing camera. The rear camera setup can record 4K60FPS video as well. Speaking of the camera, the Zenfone 6 has scored the top spot in DXOMark’s selfie camera test.

The Asus Zenfone 6 Edition 30 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. While the standard Asus Zenfone 6 maxes out at 8GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration, the Edition 30 comes with 12GB RAM + 512GB storage configuration. The device runs on Android 9 Pie operating system, and it features the new, ZenUI 6, which has a stock Android look with a few additional features over the stock UI.

Another interesting feature of the Asus Zenfone 6 Edition 30 is that it comes with a massive, 5000mAh battery, which makes it one of the very Snapdragon 855 powered smartphones to have a battery capacity this large. The battery comes with 18W fast charging. The connectivity options on the Zenfone 6 Edition 30 include USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth v5.0, dual-frequency GPS, and dual-SIM with dual-VoLTE. The device also comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers.
