Carl Pei’s Nothing Ropes in Flipkart For Ear 1 Availability, India Launch Will Happen Alongside Global

OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei announced his new venture called Nothing earlier this year. The company was scheduled to announce its first product in June 2021. However, Pei recently revealed that Nothing will launch nothing in June. He said that there are a few things left to finalise before the launch, thus causing the delay. Nothing has already confirmed that it will launch a pair of truly wireless earbuds called Ear 1. Details about the upcoming TWS are very limited at the moment. The company has confirmed though that its first TWS will go on sale via Flipkart upon its launch in India. Let’s take a look at more details on the upcoming Nothing Ear 1.

Nothing Ear 1 on Flipkart

Nothing is expected to unveil its first TWS later this year. Ahead of the launch, the company has confirmed some details around the availability. Nothing has announced that it will partner with Flipkart to ship its first product to customers. The Ear 1 launch date remains unknown at the moment. However, once announced, it will go on sale via Flipkart with no-cost EMI options and free delivery. The company has also confirmed that the India launch of Ear 1 will happen alongside the global launch.

The TWS is expected to have some key elements of Concept 1, which was teased in March 2021. The concept was designed based on three principles – Weightless, Timeless, and Effortless. “Design is still top secret but what we can tell you is that Ear 1 combines notes of transparency, iconic form, and refined functionality. It is the starting point that will define the artistry, confidence and craftsmanship that will carry our products and services for years to come,” Pei had said. 

Ear 1 was previously listed on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website with the model number B181. The charging case’s batteries were also spotted on the BIS at a later date.
