10.or D2 smartphone will launch today. The eCommerce giant Amazon’s own franchised smartphone brand, 10.or (pronounced Tenor) has launched a few interesting smartphones since September last year.
After releasing a few teasers, Amazon will officially launch the 10.or D2 today. The smartphone’s landing page is currently live with a ‘Notify Me’ button on Amazon.in. The tagline “The next is here”, as well as 10.or India official Twitter account has been cleverly suggesting the smartphone’s arrival. The successor to the entry-level smartphone named 10.or D, 10.or D2 has been seen on Geekbench earlier.

Strangely, the smartphone appears to have very similar or identical hardware as its predecessor. However, Amazon has not confirmed the specifications of the 10.or D2. In other words, they could change, and hopefully, be better than last year’s 10.or D. 10.or D2: Expected Specifications, Features
The 10.or D2 is certainly an affordable Android smartphone from Amazon. However, the company has taken great efforts to prevent information about the device leaking out. Still, the past launches and devices like 10.or G, 10.or E, are quite good markers and indicators about the upcoming smartphone.
The latest affordable smartphone from Amazon could have a 5.45-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1440 pixels. In simple words, the screen will be only 720p and not Full HD. The predecessor had 5.2-inch HD IPS LCD screen with 400 nits of peak brightness.
According to previous reports, the 10.or D2 will have a 1.4GHz quad-core processor. 10.or D had Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC and came with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM and 16GB or 32GB of internal memory respectively. There should be a provision to boost storage by up to 128GB via a micro-SD card.
For imaging, the 10.or D2 could feature a 13MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture on the rear, and a 5MP front shooter for selfies. Needless to mention, these sensors aren’t as powerful as the 10.or D2 rivals. There will be an LED flash, and support for HDR as well. The rear camera may even support 1080p video recording capability.
A rather humble 3,200mAh battery could power the smartphone. The device measures 147.70×70.50×8.60mm and weighs in at 144 grams. For connectivity, the device will include options like dual SIM, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG and 4G. There will be a few sensors onboard the device, like Compass/Magnetometer, Proximity, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, and Gyroscope. According to previous reports, the smartphone is running the latest version of Android Oreo, which is Android 8.1.0. In extension, this could mean the smartphone will get an update to Android 9 Pie.
10.or D2: Price in India, Availability
The original 10.or D cost Rs. 4,999 for the 2GB RAM + 16GB storage variant ,and Rs. 5,999 for the 3GB/32GB model. 10.or is mobile brand launched by Chinese company Huaqin Technology. The company entered India through an exclusive affiliation with Amazon India just last year. In other words, the company is new for the country.

Although the exact pricing of the 10.or D2 is not known, Amazon could price the smartphone very similarly to its predecessor. In fact, affordability could be one of the major selling points of the device.
