The Huawei Nova 3i features a 6.3-inch large IPS LCD display panel with 1080 x 2340 Full HD+ resolution and an ultra-tall 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Like most other Huawei Group smartphones released this year, the Nova 3i too comes with a notch at the top. Powering the smartphone is HiSilicon’s latest mid-range mobile processor, the Kirin 710. Fabricated on TSMC’s 12nm process, the Kirin 710 is an octa-core processor featuring four ARM Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and four ARM Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.7 GHz. Taking care of the graphics processing is ARM’s Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. Huawei has coupled the powerful Kirin 710 processor on the Nova 3i with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone comes with Hybrid Dual-SIM slots, allowing further expansion up to 256GB with a microSD card.
At the rear is a 16MP + 2MP dual-camera setup with the primary sensor featuring phase-detection autofocus and an f/2.2 aperture. The secondary 2MP sensor is used for depth-sensing, allowing users to capture portrait shots powered by AI wizardry. Rest of the key features of the smartphone include 360-degree Face Unlock, Histen 5.0 sound effect, and a rear-mounted circular fingerprint sensor. It measures 157.6 x 75.2 x 7.6mm and weighs in at 169 grams. In terms of software, the Nova 3i runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with Huawei’s EMUI 8.2 UX running on top.
