After launching the OPPO F9 and F9 Pro smartphones in India on August 21, OPPO now has released yet another device in the market, the OPPO A5. The handset is not absolutely a new offering by the Chinese smartphone make for now, as it was originally announced in its home-ground in July. The device comes with a 6.2-inch FHD+ display, packs an octa-core Snapdragon 450 SoC, has a 13MP+2MP rear-facing camera, and a 4230mAh battery.

The OPPO A5 comes in Blue and Rose Gold colour options. The price range is around Rs. 14,990, and will be available in India through the offline markets. Given the specs and pricing of the handset, it will compete with the likes of Nokia 6.1, Moto G5 Plus, and the Redmi Note 5 Pro in India.

The smartphone features a taller 6.2-inch IPS LCD display that will has a 720×1520 pixel resolution, and a 19:9 aspect ratio. The device is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 450 processor that is paired with Adreno 506 GPU. It packs a 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. Furthermore, the phone comes with a microSD card slot for extra storage expansion. On the software front, the A5 runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based Color OS out of the box.

The Oppo A5 features a dual camera setup consisting of a 13-megapixel and a 2-megapixel sensor that takes care of the imaging criteria. For selfies and video-calling, the smartphone is equipped with an 8MP selfie camera that has an AI capabilities and multiple camera modes. Connectivity-wise, it features a dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n ac, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, microUSB 2.0 port, and a 3.5mm audio port.
