How To Remove OEM Bloatware From Android Devices?

An ever increasing number of makers and OEMs are securing their gadgets and introducing different bits of OEM bloatware onto our smartphones and tablets. The application you don’t require yet can’t uninstall are called bloatware. If you don’t utilize them, they simply mess your smartphone performance or even worse deplete your battery in the background.

How To Disbale & Stop OEM Bloatware Running In the Background

Open Setting Menu on your smartphone and select Apps or Applications from the list.

Search and Select the applciation that is causing much pain and click on it.
Once its open you will be able to find the option Disable.

Note: If you ever need to re-enable the application then just follow the same step and click on Enable. Its not a difficult task.

Now let see how to stop the application to run in background.

Open Setting Menu on your smartphone and select Apps or Applications from the list.
Search and Select the applciation that is causing much pain and click on it.
Once its open you will be able to find the option Force Stop.
Click on Force Stop option and you will get a popup that says If you force stop an app, it may misbehave. Click on OK.

That’s it, the application has been stoped from running in the backfround.

How to Remove OEM Bloatware?

First you need to download the ADB binary for your OS you are in like Windows,Mac or Linux.
Now on your Smartphone go to settings and tap About Phone and search in for Build Number and tap it continously for couple of times to enable Developer Options.
Now go back and select Developer Option from the Settings Menu and enable USB Debugging.
Connect your smartphone to your computer and change it to File Transfer(MTP) mode and then on your computer browse to the directory where you extracted the ADB binary.
Now open a Command Prompt in your ADB folder. For Windows users hold Shift and Right-clicking then selecting the Open Command Prompt Here option.
Enter the command adb devices and you will find that the system is starting the ADB daemon.
Run the command once again and the terminal will print the serial number of your device.
Now type in the following command adb shell and then run pm list packages | grep ‘<OEM/Carrier/App Name> which will help us to find the package name.
Now run the command pm uninstall -k –user 0 <name of package> to uninstall a specific system application.

Note: Uninstalling system applications can be very dangerous so please know what you’re getting rid of before you complete these steps. Done at your own risk.
