Meizu Note 9 Appears on TENAA, Partial Specs Leaked

Last month, Meizu CEO Jack Wong had revealed that the company’s upcoming Note 9 budget Android smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6150 processor. While Wong did not confirm a specific release date, it now appears the smartphone may be launched in China very soon. An upcoming Meizu smartphone with model number M923Q has been spotted on the TENAA website. It is being speculated that the M923Q will debut as the Meizu Note 9.

Meizu M923Q TENAA Listing Reveals Partial Specifications

The Meizu M923Q TENAA listing reveals the smartphone will feature a 6.2-inch display. In terms of physical dimensions, the upcoming Meizu smartphone will measure 153.11 x 74.34 x 8.65mm. Apart from the display size and the handset’s physical dimensions, the TENAA listing also tells us that it will be fueled by a large 3900mAh capacity non-removable battery. The rest of its key specifications, however, have not been listed yet. It may take a few more days for TENAA to list the complete specifications as well as images of the Meizu Note 9 on its website.

Previous leaks suggest the Meizu Note 9 will be the company’s first smartphone to sport a waterdrop notch display. Similar to other smartphones featuring a waterdrop notch display, the Meizu Note 9 is likely to offer a tall 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Another major highlight of the Meizu Note 9 will be an impressive dual-camera setup on the back with a 48-megapixel primary camera. As mentioned earlier, the Meizu Note 9 will run on a Snapdragon 6150 chipset, which will likely be manufactured on the same 11nm FinFET process as the Snapdragon 675. In terms of performance, the Snapdragon 6150 is expected to be a significant step up compared to the Snapdragon 632 chipset that powers the Meizu Note 8. The Meizu Note 9 is also expected to offer a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the software front, it is rumored to run on Android 9 Pie-based Flyme UI out of the box. The Note 9 will take on the recently launched Redmi Note 7.
