[Exclusive] Xiaomi Mi CC9e to Launch in Three Colors and Four Storage Variants in China

Xiaomi’s first smartphone series developed in partnership with Meitu will be launched in China on July 2. The new “CC” series is aimed at “Curious & Creative” people. Ahead of the official launch event next week, we have got our hands on new information that reveals the Mi CC9e color and storage variants.

The Mi CC9e will be sold in China in a total of four memory configurations: 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, 4GB RAM + 128GB storage, 6GB RAM + 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. As for color options, the smartphone will be available in White, Blue Planet, and Night Price shades.

According to a recent leak, the Xiaomi Mi CC9e will feature a 5.97-inch AMOLED display panel with 1080 x 2340 pixels Full HD+ resolution. While the Mi CC9 will run on Qualcomm’s latest mid-range Snapdragon 730 chipset, the Mi CC9e is expected to have an older Snapdragon 710 chip running under the hood.

In the camera department, as confirmed by Xiaomi yesterday, the Mi CC series phones will have a 32MP resolution selfie camera with an improved Beauty Mode developed by Meitu. At the rear, Mi CC9e is tipped to have a triple-camera setup with a 48MP Sony IMX582 primary sensor along with additional 8MP and 5MP sensors. Fueling the internals of the upcoming mid-range smartphone will be a 3500mAh capacity battery with support for 18W wired fast charging.

In terms of pricing, leaks suggest the Mi CC9e could start at CNY 1,599 for the base variant, which converts to INR 16,100 approximately based on the current exchange rate. The top-end configuration, on the other hand, will apparently be priced at CNY 2,199 (INR 22,100 approx.) in China. The Mi CC9, which packs more impressive hardware compared to the Mi CC9e, is rumored to start at CNY 2,599 (INR 26,200 approx.) in China. At this point, it is unclear if Xiaomi will be launching the Mi CC series smartphones in the Indian market.
