Vivo Z1X With In-display Fingerprint Sensor Launching in India On September 6 Via Flipkart

Vivo has just announced it on Twitter that the brand will launch the Vivo Z1x smartphone in India on 6th September 2019, at 12 PM. Going by the naming convention, it looks like the Vivo Z1x will be an advanced variant of the Vivo Z1Pro that was launched in India a few weeks back.

Vivo Z1x Will Have In-display Fingerprint Scanner, OLED Display, And Triple Rear Camera

The tweet is accompanied by a teaser video, which reveals that the smartphone will have an in-display fingerprint scanner and a V-shaped notch at the top of the display. As you might know, in-display fingerprint scanners can only be had in OLED displays, which leads us to believe that the Vivo Z1x will come with an OLED display. As you can see in the video, the device features a triple-camera setup at the rear. There is, however, no information regarding the specifications of these three cameras. What we could also gather from the teaser video is that the Vivo Z1x will feature a glass back panel. That being said, it could just be a glossy finish on a plastic panel.

Vivo Z1x Will Feature USB Type-C Port, FlashCharge, And Snapdragon Chipset

The tweet also has a link in it which leads to a dedicated page for Vivo Z1x on Flipkart. This indicates that the Z1x will be available to purchase in India through Flipkart. And the dedicated page features three images. The first image reveals that the smartphone will have Vivo FlashCharge fast charging technology and a USB Type-C port. Currently, there is no information what the FlashCharge means; it could be a 22.5W fast charging option like the one in the Vivo Nex 2. The second image reveals that the Z1x will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. Although, the model number of the chipset is nowhere to be seen. In my opinion, it could be the Snapdragon 712 SoC, just like that in the Vivo Z1Pro. The third and final image touts the imaging capabilities of the smartphone by showing a cityscape picture.

What Could the Vivo Z1x Cost?

Currently, the Vivo Z1Pro costs INR 14,990 for the base variant. And considering that the Vivo Z1x will be an advanced variant of the Z1 Pro, you can expect the Z1x to cost slightly more than Z1Pro. My guess is that the Vivo Z1x could start at INR 16,990 for the base variant and go up to 19,990 for the top-end variant.
