OPPO finally announced the latest iteration of its own custom Android skin dubbed ColorOS on November 20 in China. The latest ColorOS 7 (baked on top of Android 10) brings about a plethora of updates over its predecessor.
Furthermore, the company has announced that the ColorOS 7 will reach the Indian soil on November 26. Let’s see what all new features the ColorOS 7 has in store for us and the list of all the supported Oppo, as well as Realme devices which are going to receive the update in the coming time (alongside the rollout timeline).

1. Visual Overhaul, Newer UI Design
ColorOS 7 brings about a visual makeover to the overall user experience. The new update makes use of a more comfortable color scheme to reduce visual fatigue. Moreover, we get to change the shapes and sizes of the app icons which come bundled with the default app icon pack. Adding to it, ColorOS 7 has introduced a new set of Art+ artist wallpapers to bring a higher quality visual experience.
2. New Sound Effects
ColorOS 7 brings new sound effects to the devices. The company has collaborated with the famous Danish sound company Episound and has come up with new sound effects that reflect “human nature”
3. Better RAM management
Oppo claims that ColorOS 7 comes with a new RAM management system that reduces application startup time by 40% and has a 30% system resource efficiency.
4. Oppo Breeno AI Voice Assistant
ColorOS 7 comes with the company’s all-new voice assistant dubbed Breeno. Breeno provides automatic text suggestions to the incoming messages. Furthermore, the assistant comes with features like Breeno driving mode, Breeno sleep mode, Breeno automatic command, and many more.
5. New Camera Features
The ColorOS 7 update has added some features to the camera UI as well. We get a new portrait mode 2.0, super-focus mode, and night mode after the update.
ColorOS 7 Update For OPPO Smartphones: Rollout Timeline
Here’s the official roadmap for the ColorOS 7 rollout for the Oppo and Realme smartphones. Most of the Reno series phones from OPPO will receive the ColorOS 7 update in the next two months, while the Find X series of phones will receive the Android 10 update in the first quarter of 2020. Android 10-based ColorOS 7 update to OPPO’s R series and A series of phones is scattered across the first and second quarter of 2020.
Note that the recently launched Realme X2 Pro will get the ColorOS 7 update (on top of Android 10) as a part of the Early Adopters program in China on December 18.

ColorOS 7 Stable Update For Realme Smartphones: Rollout Timeline
ColorOS 7 with custom UI will be rolled out to all the Realme phones, and the first in line to receive the Android 10-based update will be the Realme 3 Pro and the Realme XT.
The Realme X and the Realme 5 Pro will receive the update in February 2020, while the Realme X2 Pro will get access to Android 10 sometime in March 2020. April 2020 will bring Android 10-based ColorOS 7 update to the Realme 3 and the Realme 3i.
The Realme 5 and the Realme 5s will get the update in the May of 2020, while the Realme 2 Pro and the Realme C2 phones will get updates in June and Q2 of 2020, respectively. The Realme 1, Realme 2, and the Realme C1 seem to be missing from Realme’s rollout schedule.
