Facing immense pressure from Chinese rivals, Samsung finally decided to up its game in the budget and mid-range segments by introducing the revamped Galaxy A-series. Thanks to their attractive designs and competitive hardware specs, the new A-series phones have helped Samsung in increasing its smartphone shipments in most markets. For 2020, the company is working on a refreshed A-series lineup with some new features and other improvements.
Upcoming Mid-Range Galaxy A-Series Smartphones to Offer up to 128GB Storage
Thanks to the information that we have received from leakster Ishan Agarwal, we can now confirm that the Galaxy A11, Galaxy A31, and Galaxy A41 are now in development. The three phones will bear model numbers SM-A115X, SM-A315X, and SM-A415X, respectively.
While we do not know much about the key hardware specs of the three upcoming A-series phones at this point, we can confirm that they will offer higher onboard storage than their predecessors. Samsung’s 2020 mid-range A-series phones are going to come with up to 128GB storage. The base variants of most 2020 A-series phones will include 64GB storage.
Apart from the Galaxy A11, A31, and A41, Samsung’s 2020 Galaxy A-series lineup will include several other models as well. As shown by recently leaked renders, the mid-range Samsung Galaxy A51 and A71 will come with centered hole-punch displays and L-shaped quad-camera modules on the back. However, it remains to be seen if Samsung will be adopting the same design language for other upcoming A-series phones.
Even though Samsung hasn’t confirmed anything yet, some reports suggest Samsung may launch the first 2020 A-series phones next month. The Samsung Galaxy A51 will apparently be launched in India in December, alongside the high-end Galaxy S10 Lite and mid-range Galaxy Note 10 Lite smartphones. The rest of the 2020 A-series lineup will likely debut sometime in the first half of next year.
