Carl Pei’s Nothing Plans to Make a Dent in Indian Tech Market, Appoints Manu Sharma As Vice President and GM

OnePlus ex co-founder Carl Pei, earlier this year, announced Nothing as his new venture. The company is expected to launch its first audio product later this year. Despite not launching a single product, Nothing has gained a lot of attention. The company has now announced that Samsung India’s ex-Vice President Manu Sharma has joined Nothing as the Vice President and General Manager of Nothing’s India division. Sharma has worked for over two decades in Samsung and HP India. He will now overlook the regional product strategy, marketing and sales operations for the brand, as well as setting up the India office.  

Nothing announces Manu Sharma as the Vice President and General Manager of Nothing India

Nothing has announced that Samsung ex-VP Manu Sharma will join the company as its India Vice President and General Manager. Sharma has worked with the likes of Samsung Mobile and Hewlett-Packard India for over two decades.

“I am thrilled to welcome Manu as part of the growing Nothing team. He is an experienced business leader with a deep knowledge and understanding of the consumer technology industry in India. With his proven track record and experience, he will play a pivotal role for our growth in India. ” Carl Pei, Nothing’s CEO and Co-Founder, said. 

Sharma’s role in India will be overseeing the regional product strategy, marketing and sales operations for the brand, as well as setting up the India office.

The company is yet to launch its first product. Details about the first launch are very limited at the time of writing this. The company is said to launch wireless earbuds in Summer 2021 as its first product.
