ASUS Smartphone (Possibly Snapdragon Branded) Spotted on FCC with 1920mAh Dual Cell Battery, 65W Fast Charging Support

Asus unveiled its flagship smartphones, the Asus Zenfone 8 and the Zenfone 8 Flip last month. But, we are aware of the fact that the company is prepping up for the launch of yet another handset. A few days ago, Asus smartphone with model number ASUS_I007D was spotted at TENAA certification. The TENAA listing had revealed the design and key specifications of the handset. The device that cleared the TENAA certification had Snapdragon branding at the back. Later on, the same handset was spotted at 3C certification. The 3C certification revealed the charging capability details of the phone ahead of launch. Now, in a recent development, the Asus_I007D has cleared the required FCC certification. This recent certification reveals the battery capacity details and affirms the same fast-charging details which were revealed by 3C certification earlier.

Asus Smartphone With Snapdragon Branding Clears FCC Certification

The Asus smartphone which has appeared in the FCC certification database carries model number as Asus_I007D. As per the FCC certification documents, this particular handset will come with a 1920mAh dual-cell (3840mAh) battery. The device’s battery has the model number mentioned as C21P2002. The smartphone will offer 65W fast charging support. The same fast-charging details were earlier revealed by 3C certification, as mentioned above. If we have a closer look at the FCC certification documents, we can see that this device has cleared the FCC certification on February 2nd, 2021.

If we consider the previous leak courtesy of TENAA certification, the Asus A_I007D is said to feature a 6.78-inch OLED display. The phone under the hood might make use of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 chipset. Dimensions-wise, the handset is tipped to measure at around 172.92 x 77.33 x 9.55mm, and it might weigh 217.7 grams. As for the software, we can expect this upcoming Asus smartphone to run Android 11 out of the box. In terms of optics, the phone is rumoured to feature a triple-camera setup. The rear-facing camera module is tipped to occupy a 64MP primary main sensor and two 12MP cameras. The phone might ship with 16GB of RAM along with 512GB of internal storage.

As per the earlier details available, it is reported that Asus has joined hands with Qualcomm to develop this gaming phone. This device was supposed to launch by the end of 2020, and its shipping was said to start in 2021. However, as of now, we haven’t seen Asus launching this handset. Now, that this phone has started gaining multiple we can expect Asus to launch this handset in the upcoming months.
