Asus launched the ROG Phone 5, ROG Phone 5 Pro, and ROG Phone 5 Ultimate limited edition smartphone back in March. These three devices under the hood are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 SoC and they feature a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Now, it looks like the Taiwanese smartphone maker is prepping up for the launch of yet another smartphone in the ROG 5 lineup dubbed as the ASUS ROG 5s. The specifications of the Asus ROG 5s are surfaced on the web ahead of launch. Apart from the specifications the launch date of the ROG 5s smartphone is even leaked. The leaked specifications suggest us that the ROG 5s will feature a 144Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset, up to 18GB of RAM, and 512GB of internal storage.

According to the leaked details, the Asus ROG 5s will feature a 144Hz OLED display. The display panel size remains to be unknown currently. However, we can expect the device to come with a 6.67-inch display similar to that of the other ROG Phone 5 devices. Under the hood, the upcoming ROG 5s might be powered by the newly announced Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC. The device is tipped to pack 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. There might be a higher-end ROG 5s model as well which might ship with up to 18GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. We can expect the device to boot Android 11 out of the box.

The imaging aspect of the ROG Phone 5s remains to be a mystery at the moment. The current ROG Phone 5 series comes with a triple-camera setup that consists of a 64MP Sony IMX686 primary camera, a 13MP Ultra-wide angle camera, and a 5MP macro camera. We can expect the upcoming ROG 5s to offer a similar camera configuration. As per the leaked details, the ROG 5s might draw power from a 6000mAh battery which might have a 65W fast charging support. As mentioned above, alongside the leaked specifications, we even have the possible launch date details of the ROG 5s. If we go by the details shared by Twitter handle @chunvn8888, the ROG 5s launch is set for August 16th. As of now, Asus has not shared any details regarding the official launch of the ROG 5s.
