Xiaomi India Gifts a Mi 11 Ultra Each to All the Indian Olympic Medal Winners as a Gesture of Thanks

Neeraj Chopra, on August 7, won India’s first gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. His win takes India’s total tally of medals to seven. As a token of appreciation, Xiaomi has announced that each of the seven Indian medal winners at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 will be gifted its flagship phone, the Mi 11 Ultra. The company’s India CEO, Manu Kumar Jain, said that the token is a way of saying thanks to these athletes for “fulfilling the dreams and bring tears of joy and happiness to 1.3 billion people.” 

Neeraj Chopra, Mirabai Chanu, Ravi Kumar Dahiya, Lovlina Borgohain, PV Sindhu and Bajrang Punia are the list of Indian athletes who have won a medal at the ongoing Olympics so far for India. Xiaomi will gift these players the premium Mi 11 Ultra. The top chief also announced that each player of the men’s hockey team, which won a bronze medal, will get the Mi 11X as a token of thanks.

India’s performance at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 has been the best so far when it comes to the total medal tally. Athletes have won seven medals, so far, which is the best for India at any Olympics. The Government of India, along with the state governments of these athletes, have announced rewards for these winning players as well. 

Regarding the Mi 11 Ultra, the Xiaomi flagship draws power from a Snapdragon 888 SoC. It comes with a triple-camera setup on the back with a 50MP 1/1.12-inch primary camera sensor. The phone also has a 48MP ultrawide and a 48MP telephoto camera with 120x zoom. It has two displays. 

The front 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display supports 120Hz and has 1700 nits peak brightness. On the back is a 1.1-inch display for notifications and other tasks. The phone packs a 5000 mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
