Samsung Galaxy S22 series launch is imminent. If the rumour mill is to be believed, the three Galaxy S22 series phones could launch on February 8 and go on sale starting February 18 in select markets. Samsung is expected to launch the devices in India soon after the global launch. The company is yet to confirm the official Galaxy Unpacked launch date, where we will see three premium smartphones – Galaxy S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra. Ahead of the official confirmation, some key details of the vanilla and Ultra model have leaked. Samsung Galaxy S22, S22 Ultra specs tipped again

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will be the company’s premium offering for H1 2022. The company will unveil three Galaxy S22 series phones in February. Ahead of the launch, some key Galaxy S22 and Ultra specifications have surfaced online.

Starting with the Ultra model, XEETechCare reiterated some of the previous leaks which suggested a boxy design similar to the Note series. The phone will have a 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic 2X AMOLED display with a 3080 x 1440 resolution. It will have a hole-punch cutout at the centre with curved sides. The phone will weigh about 228 grams.

Under the hood, there will be an Exynos 2200 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC depending on the region of launch. It will come with 8GB/ 12GB RAM and 128GB/ 256/ 512GB storage options. The phone will pack a 5000 mAh battery. It is rumoured that the Ultra model will support 45W fast charging.

On the back, the device will have a quad-camera setup with a 108MP “Super Clear Lens”, a 12MP ultrawide camera and two 10MP telephoto camera sensors offering 3x and 10x zoom with OIS support. The phone will have a 40MP front camera and come in four colours – Phantom Black, Phantom White, Green, Burgundy.

Some Galaxy S22 specifications were also tipped. It is said to sport a 6.1-inch Full HD+ display and a triple-camera setup on the back.
