Disney+ will release the much anticipated ad-supported subscription offering in the U.S on December 8, 2022. The company has recently confirmed the same via a blog post. In addition to the new ad-supported subscription, which will offer more choice to consumers than ever before, the company is also increasing the monthly subscription fee for Disney+.
With the introduction of a new ad-supported plan, the plans will be made available across Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and the Disney Bundle, giving users flexibility in choosing an option that suits their needs. As of now, Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ feature over 1,00,000 movie titles, TV episodes, original shows, sports and live events collectively.
Disney+ New Price Details
Currently, in the US, there is only one paid plan for Disney+, which is priced at $7.99/month or $79.99/year. Going forward from December, Disney+ will offer two plans, the Disney+ Basic plan with ads for 7.99/month and Disney+ Premium without ads for $10.99 a month and $109.99 for the yearly plan.

Disney is also raising the price of its Hulu subscription in the US. The ad-free tier will jump from $12.99 to $14.99 for a monthly subscription. The ad-supported plan will cost $7.99, up from $6.99. ESPN’s new price with a hike was announced back in July.
The ESPN+ plans will come into effect from August 23, 2022, and Hulu plans will come into effect starting October 10, 2022. The new Disney+ subscription plans will come into effect from December 8, 2022.

Indian Price Hike on the Cards?
With the new Disney+ pricing for the US market, India could be the next to follow. But, Disney Plus Hotstar increased the price and introduced three subscription tiers (Mobile, Super, Premium) just last September and India is already having Disney Plus Hotstar plans with ad support. So, there is a good chance that Indian prices might stay ideal for a while now δΈ€ but you never know.
