Taiwanese mobile device maker ASUS already announced their H370, B360, and H310 series gaming motherboards earlier this Spring. Today, though, ASUS took to the stage in Mumbai, India to announce its new AMD B450 gaming motherboards for PC gamers. The new gaming motherboards include the ROG Strix X470-I and X470-F, TUF B450-Plus Gaming, TUF B450M-Plus Gaming, Prime B450-Plus, and Prime B450M-A and B450M-K.
ROG Strix AMD B450 gaming motherboards
The new ROG Strix AMD B450 gaming motherboards bring the very best of the gaming motherboard experience with long-time brand ROG. The X470-I and X470-F provide much of the same experience, but the X470-F leaves some money on the table. The X470-I brings the following features:
- two-DIMM setup
- dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi
- exclusive ASUS DRAM profiles for DDR4-3600 and beyond
- M.2 Audio Combo Card
- small footprint
The X470-F brings the following features:
- comprehensive cooling
- connectivity options
- dual PCIe 3.0 M.2 slots
- DDR4 memory stability
- Aura Sync
- performance tuning and optimization for experienced and first-time system builders
TUF AMD B450 gaming motherboards
The TUF AMD B450 gaming motherboards stand apart from the ROG motherboards because of style/design and military-grade component implementation. Both of these TUF B450-Plus motherboards come in both large and small form factors. Yet, they both bear the same basic specs:
- 64GB of DDR4-3200 RAM
- dual graphics CrossFireX cards
- 8-channel audio with DTS
- connectivity options
Prime AMD B450 gaming motherboards
The Prime series places productivity above all else. The design of these Prime gaming motherboards is “retro,” so don’t expect premium-looking hardware necessarily. And yet, these are also the most budget-friendly gaming motherboards of the new ASUS lineup.
The Prime B450-Plus gaming motherboard features the following:
- Fan Xpert 4 Core
- 5X Protection III Safeguards
- DIGI + VRM circuitry
The Prime B450M-A and B450M-K processors are the entry-level of ASUS’s new AMD B450 gaming motherboard lineup. They retain the same basic features as the Prime B450-Plus but forgo some of the additional technology for the sake of achievement and price.
AMD B450 gaming motherboard pricing
The new AMD B450 gaming motherboards are now on sale in India. The Prime B450M-A costs INR 6,975 ($101.83 USD); the Prime B450M-K costs INR 6,310 ($92.12 USD).
