Flipkart Plus Free Loyalty Program to Offer Free Delivery, Hotstar, BookMyShow Benefits to Customers

We are all familiar with Amazon’s Prime service, where it provides faster shipping, better offers, Prime Video, and other benefits to its subscribers. Now, India’s biggest online retailer, Flipkart, is also planning on starting a loyalty service called Flipkart Plus.

This is the first major announcement by the retailer since it sold the majority of its shares to Walmart. Flipkart Plus is the company’s way of thanking all its customers for making it the biggest online retailer in the country, and for being loyal. We are sure a lot of you have been waiting for a such a service from Flipkart.

Flipkart announced that the Flipkart Plus loyalty program will start on August 15th.

Flipkart Plus – What It Offers

The online retailer has been working on this service for over a year, and it offers a lot of benefits to customers. Flipkart Plus is not a paid service, like Amazon Prime. This service will be available for anyone who is a regular buyer on Flipkart.

If you buy a lot of stuff via Flipkart, then you will be given several special offers, such as free delivery, early access to Big Billion Day sale, and other offers. Now, that is a nice way to reward loyal customers.

The way it works is that you get points called ‘Plus Coins‘ every time you purchase something on Flipkart. You can then avail these points to get benefits such as free delivery, discounts, and more. Apart from these offers, Flipkart Plus will also provide benefits across other third-party travel and entertainments services. For example, if you get a certain amount of Plus Coins, you can use to avail one year of subscription on HotStar streaming service.

Every time a customer completes a purchase on our platform, the customer earns a certain amount of Plus points. As you shop more, you earn more Plus points. And with more Plus points, you unlock key rewards and benefits.

However, Amazon’s Prime service has an annual or a monthly fee. It starts at Rs. 999 annually, and provides subscribers with free and fast delivery, Amazon Prime Video, and early access to Prime Day deals. Recently, the company started providing a monthly subscription to Prime for Rs. 129.

Flipkart Plus, on the other hand, is a free service. It will be available to anyone who is a regular user of Flipkart, and purchases a lot of things from the online retailer. There is no hidden fee, and you get similar benefits to Amazon Prime. Of course, the benefits are different and requires you to buy more, but it is still a good deal.

If you are a regular user of Flipkart, then this program will be great for you. You can stack up on those Plus Coins and get benefits across other services as well. More details on this service will be known once it goes online on the 15th of August. This is sure to help Flipkart with customer loyalty and keep them using the service.
