Xiaomi Mi Note 4 specifications revealed by TENAA: 6.21-inch display, 8GB RAM, in-display fingerprint sensor in tow

Xiaomi is currently rumored to be prepping for the launch of the Mi Note 3 successor, likely dubbed the Mi Note 4. The rumored handset received the green signal from China’s TENAA certification authority yesterday. As we mentioned in our report yesterday, the certification listing had revealed the device’s model number as well as images showing a rear design similar to the Mi 8 Explorer Edition. Earlier today, TENAA has revealed the detailed specifications of the device, shedding light on the Mi Note 4’s screen size, camera configurations, battery capacity, and more.

Xiaomi Mi Note 4: Rumoured Features

Coming to the specifications, the Mi Note 4 will flaunt a large 6.21-inch TFT display that will have a 2248×1080 Full HD+ resolution. On the back, the handset will have a transparent glass panel, similar to the one seen on the Mi 8 Explorer Edition. The smartphone will run Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 10 OS out of the box.

Imaging-wise the Mi Note 4 will sport a dual camera setup, whose primary sensor will be a 12-megapixel unit. The rear-facing camera will no doubt will offer PDAF and other features including 4K video recording. On the other hand, a 20MP camera at the front will take care of selfies and video calling. Interestingly, TENAA has mentioned that the smartphone will have screen fingerprint recognition, which hints at an in-display fingerprint sensor on the Mi Note 4. Connectivity-wise, the device will offer dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS/A-GPS, microUSB port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
