We are barely into the third month of 2019, and we have already had a barrage of new smartphone launches in India so far. Devices that have seen officialdom until now include the likes of the Honor View 20, the Honor 10 Lite, the Huawei Y9 (2019), the Samsung Galaxy M Series twins (Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M10), and the Realme C1 (2019). With MWC 2019 underway in Barcelona, it is almost certain that we will be witnessing several new launches in the months to follow. In this article, let us take a look at some of these new products that will make it to India in the next few weeks. We will start off with Samsung who is readying a slew of new device launches in the country.

Samsung Galaxy M30, A Series and Galaxy S Series

Samsung will expand its portfolio of the M Series devices with the launch of the Galaxy M30 in India this week. This device is an upgraded variant of the M20 with slightly better specifications. This phone uses the same chipset as the Galaxy M20 but gets a slightly better camera setup consisting of a 13-megapixel primary camera, a 5-megapixel wide-angle camera, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor.

Samsung is also expected to refresh its A series line up in the country and will launch two new devices – the Samsung Galaxy A30 and the Galaxy A50 in India soon. Specifications and other details of these devices should be out soon.

The most important launch from Samsung, however, will be the brand new Samsung Galaxy S10 series. Samsung is all set to launch all three Galaxy S10 variants in India that include the Galaxy S10e, the Galaxy S10, and the Galaxy S10+. The prices of these phones are already live on Samsung’s website. The Galaxy S10e will be priced at INR 55,900 for the 6GB RAM/128GB version. The Galaxy S10 will be sold in 8GB/128GB and 8GB/512GB versions with price tags of INR 66,900 and INR 84,900 respectively. The Galaxy S10+ comes in three versions, a base 8GB/128GB version priced at INR 73,900, an 8GB/512GB version priced at INR 91,900 and a top of the line 12GB/1TB version priced at INR 117,900.

Realme 3

OPPO’s sub-brand Realme will announce the Realme 3 in India soon. This handset is expected to be a successor to the Realme 2 and will feature the Mediatek Helio P70 chipset. The phone will come in a 3GB RAM version with 32GB of storage and a pricier 4GB RAM variant with 64GB of storage. This device could be priced under the INR 12,000 mark when launched.

Redmi Note 7 series, Redmi Go

India’s top smartphone maker Xiaomi is all set to launch three new handsets in India this week. These new handsets include the Redmi Note 7, the Redmi Note 7 Pro, and the Redmi Go. While not confirmed yet, both the Redmi Note 7 devices will feature slightly downgraded specs when compared to the Chinese variants. The current expectation is that the Redmi Note 7 will feature the Snapdragon 636 chipset and the Redmi Note 7 Pro will use the Snapdragon 660 chipset. You can read more about these devices in a separate article.

The Redmi Go is an entry-level handset that will use the Snapdragon 425 SoC and come with just 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. The Redmi Go will also come with an 8-megapixel camera at the rear with f/2.2 aperture and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

OPPO F11 Pro

The OPPO F11 Pro is another device that is expected to be launched in the country soon. This device will be launched in the first week of March. This handset will feature the Mediatek Helio P70 SoC and come in two configurations: 6GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage.  The camera setup on the OPPO F11 Pro will consist of a 48MP + 5MP dual-camera setup at the rear and a 16MP elevating snapper at the front with f/2.0 aperture.

This is only a small list of devices that are expected to launch in India soon. Apart from these brands like Nokia, Huawei and LG will all release new devices in the country in the next few weeks.
