We had reported a few weeks back that Samsung was working on a smartphone bearing model number SM-A307. Believed to be the Galaxy A30s, the smartphone has made an appearance online for the first time. We have caught the upcoming SM-A307FN variant of the smartphone on Geekbench, revealing nearly identical hardware specifications as the Galaxy A30.
Samsung Galaxy A30s Might be Very Similar to the Standard Galaxy A30
Going by the smartphone’s Geekbench listing, it looks like the Galaxy A30s will be very similar to the standard Galaxy A30 that was announced in February this year. The smartphone is powered by the 14nm Exynos 7904 octa-core processor as the Galaxy A30, coupled with 3GB of RAM. While only the 3GB RAM variant of the phone has surfaced online now, we can expect the 4GB RAM variant to also make an appearance on the web in the coming days.
Since the smartphone isn’t any different to the Galaxy A30 in terms of the hardware specifications, it scored 1,322 points in the single-core test and 4,116 points in the multi-core test. Both the scores are more or less similar to the average scores achieved by the A30 on Geekbench. While the core hardware is similar, there is a possibility of the Galaxy A30s being slightly superior to the Galaxy A30 in some other areas.
The Samsung Galaxy A30 (Review) sports a 6.4-inch sized Super AMOLED display panel with Full HD+ resolution and a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protecting it from damage. In addition to the 3GB RAM variant, which includes 32GB storage, the A30 comes in a 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant as well. On the back of the phone is a 16MP + 5MP dual-camera setup with the primary sensor clubbed with an f/1.7 aperture. For selfies, it has a 16MP snapper with an f/2.0 aperture. The phone is fueled by a 4000mAh non-removable battery with 15W fast charging.
