Huawei P30 Pro New Edition with Google Mobile Services (GMS) to Launch on May 15

Huawei has already unveiled its latest Huawei P40 series of smartphones. The Huawei P40, Huawei P40 Pro, and Huawei P40 Pro Plus smartphones have already been launched globally and in the company’s homeland China. This essentially makes the Huawei P30 Pro a dated smartphone. That being said, Huawei appears to have plans to give new life to the Huawei P30 Pro, as it is reportedly about to launch a new edition of the device, dubbed the Huawei P30 Pro New Edition. As it turns out, the Huawei P30 Pro New Edition will feature Google Mobile Services (GMS). Take a look at the Huawei P30 Pro New Edition and find out what we know about the device so far.

Huawei P30 Pro New Edition to Run on Google Mobile Services

As mentioned earlier, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer will introduce the Huawei P30 Pro New Edition in Germany from May 15 to June 2020. The reason as to why there is no specific date for the launch of the Huawei P30 Pro New Edition is the fact that the device will reportedly come under a promo offer. Huawei’s P30 Pro New Edition will retain Google Mobile Services (GMS), much to our delight. That being said, we don’t really know much about the specifications and features of the Huawei P30 Pro New Edition as of now. Below is what the official Huawei Germany website says about the device (roughly translated from German):

for the “HUAWEI-Vodafone & otelo P30 Pro / P30 / P30 lite NEW EDITION / * P30 Pro NEW EDITION campaign including HUAWEI Tablet T3 10 + Case” from HUAWEI TECHNOLOGIES Deutschland GmbH.

The “HUAWEI-Vodafone & otelo HUAWEI P30 Pro / HUAWEI P30 / HUAWEI P30 lite NEW EDITION / * HUAWEI P30 Pro NEW EDITION Bundle-Promotion” (hereinafter referred to as “Promotion”) is organized by HUAWEI Technologies Deutschland GmbH, Hansaallee 205, 40549 Düsseldorf, Germany (hereinafter referred to as “HUAWEI”).

The promotion is carried out by Teqcycle Solutions GmbH (hereinafter referred to as “Teqcycle”).

The following promotional devices take part in this promotion: HUAWEI P30 Pro / HUAWEI P30 / HUAWEI P30 lite NEW EDITION / * HUAWEI P30 Pro NEW EDITION (hereinafter referred to as “promotional device”).

Clearly, the blog post consists of texts mentioning the Huawei P30 Pro New Edition. So far, we are not entirely sure as to when the Huawei P30 Pro New Edition will be launched in the remaining parts of the globe, but we can expect that to happen in the times to come.

For those unaware, the Huawei P30 Pro smartphone, which launched last year, comes with a 6.1-inch OLED panel with a waterdrop notch at the top. Under the hood, the Huawei P30 Pro is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor, which is paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. As far as OS is concerned, the Huawei P30 Pro ships the latest Android 10 OS out of the box with the company’s proprietary EMUI 10 skin baked on top of it. As far as the cameras of the device are concerned, the Huawei P30 Pro flaunts a quadruple rear camera setup (40MP + 20MP + 8MP + periscopic lens) and a 32MP selfie snapper.
