Realme TV First Look Officially Revealed, Comes with Netflix, Prime Video and Google Chromecast Support

Realme will launch its first-ever smart TV in India on May 25, 2020. Alongside the Realme smart TV, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer will also take the wraps off its first ever smartwatch, dubbed the Realme Watch, and the Realme Buds Air Neo. Right ahead of the launch, the company has given us the first official look at its smart TV. Notably, the Realme TV will run on Android TV OS and will have Google Assistant built-in. Madhav Sheth, Realme CEO, took to Twitter to showcase the highlights of the Realme smart TV ahead of its official launch. As per Madhav’s tweet, the Realme smart TV will feature an all-in-one smart remote and will be a certified Android TV, which will come with support for Google Assistant and built-in Chromecast. Realme TV will come with pre-installed apps like Netflix India, Amazon Prime Video, and YouTube. Furthermore, the Realme TV will have the ability to download other apps through the Google Play Store. As far as the specifications are concerned, the Realme TV will be the first in its segment to be equipped with a MediaTek quad-core processor, which will be clubbed with an ARM Cortex-A53 CPU and a Mali-770 MP3 GPU. The Realme TV will sport a 24W stereo speaker output and will come with support for Dolby Audio. It will come with connectivity features like Wi-Fi, screen mirroring, and Bluetooth.

As far as the pricing of the Realme smart TV is concerned, we are not entirely sure as to what the brand will price its first smart TV at, but we can expect that the Realme TV will compete with the likes of the existing Xiaomi Mi TVs in the market.

Other than the Realme TV, the company will also unveil its Realme watch during the same launch event. The Realme Watch is expected to feature a 1.4-inch TFT LCD panel with a 320 x 320 pixel resolution. The watch will be IP68 water and dust resistant and will have support for custom watch faces. Plus, the Realme Watch will sport detachable wrist bands and has already confirmed that more wrist bands will be launched in the future. Coming to the software, the Realme watch is tipped to feature proprietary OS and the presence of WearOS is an unlikely case.
