Netflix is testing a feature which would allow users to Pause Membership for up to 10 months. When you come back after 10 months, you will need to start from scratch.
The alternative Pause Membership can be found on the web site under Account. Nevertheless, memberships are suspended only at the end of the billing month-not immediately.
“We’re always working on new ways to improve the Netflix experience. We experiment with these types of tests in different countries for different periods of time – and only make them broadly available if people find them useful,” Netflix said in a statement.
The latest functionality functions just the same as the existing strategy for canceling Netflix. That’s because, even though users opt for the ‘cancel’ option, the company continues to retain user-data for 10 months.
This will help viewers maintain their profile, view history, list of favorite shows, ratings, reviews, and other saved settings when their membership is discontinued for some time and restored later.
But if you’re a subscriber to Netflix, you won’t be taking out your jobs. Netflix is developing a feature that allows users to pause their subscriptions.
In other markets the company provides the same functionality. That time, however, it was only for 90 days (three months), and now plans to expand the same programs to 10 months.
If you happen to not see the feature “timeout membership” in your Netflix account, this is limited as a result of Netflix exams. If it is obtained successfully it will possibly be rolled out to everyone.
