Samsung Galaxy M12 Might Feature 48MP Triple Rear Cameras, New Leak Suggests

Apart from the Galaxy A32, Galaxy A52, and the Galaxy A72, we are aware of the fact that the South Korean smartphone giant Samsung is also preparing for the launch of the Galaxy M12. The handset in the past couple of weeks had gained multiple certifications and was even spotted at Geekbench. India might be one of the few markets where we can see the launch of Galaxy M12 first, as the phone had cleared the required BIS certification. As of now, the camera details of this upcoming device remained hidden. However, a new leak now reveals detailed camera specs, and wallpapers as well the device will be coming with.

Samsung Galaxy M12 Camera Specs Leak

As per the report from TechnikNews, the Galaxy M12 will feature Samsung’s in-house “S5KGM2” 48MP primary sensor, secondary 13MP “HI1336” ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro camera. The secondary camera details mentioned in the report might not be exactly accurate as per the publication, and as in the past, we also had seen reports that the Galaxy M12 will be featuring a quad-camera setup. Moving ahead with the rest of the specs of the device, the Galaxy M12 might sport an 8MP camera. As per few of the earlier leaks, the Galaxy M12 is expected to launch with a 6.5-inch HD+ TFT LCD display. Powering the phone could be Samsung’s in-house Exynos 850 SoC, 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 128GB of eMMXC 5.1 storage. Additionally, the device could come with two more RAM and storage variants which include: 3GB + 32GB storage model, and 4GB RAM + 64GB variant respectively. The handset might even include an option for storage expansion via a microSD card. On the software front, the M12 is supposed to boot Android 11-based One UI 3.0. The smartphone is also considered to feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, embedded in the power button.

The FCC certification of the Galaxy M12 had suggested that it could pack 6000mAh battery that might support 15W fast-charging. Past leak even hints that the phone will have a USB Type-C charging port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom. Dimensions-wise the handset might measure around 163.9×75.9×8.9mm. As the days pass we might get to know the detailed specs of the handset, if it appears on TENAA certification in the upcoming days.
