Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 With 6.5-inch Display, 16MP Rear Camera, and More Tipped Online

Samsung is preparing for the launch of the Galaxy Xcover 4 successor, the Galaxy Xcover 5. The device is in the news from last few weeks, as it appeared in Geekbench database, and secured green signal from FCC as well. The specifications of this upcoming device were a mystery as of now. However, few of the device details now have come to limelight, thanks to a new leak from @Sudhanshu1414.

 If we go by leaked specs of this upcoming smartphone, it might feature a 5.3 inch display with HD+ 1600 x 900 pixels resolution. Under the hood, it is supposed to pack an entry-level octa-core Exynos 850 chipset. It might come with 4GB of RAM, and have 64GB internal storage. If we go by the Geekbench listing, it can boot up Android 11-based One UI 3.0. In the Geekbench test, the device had managed to score single-core score of 182 and multi-core score of 1148.
As far as the imaging details of the smartphone is concerned, it might sport a single 16MP camera at the rear, whereas at the front for selfies and video-calling, it could offer 5MP camera. Battery capacity of the device is rumoured to be 3000mAh, that might support 15W fast charging. Connectivity-wise, the handset might offer LTE support, and have a USB Type-C port. As far the current leak goes, the device is said to arrive in only Black colour option. And that’s all the details we have for the time-being.
There’s no information as such when this smartphone will be going official. However, as the days pass, we might to learn more about this handset, if it appears on TENAA, or any other certification. If we recap the details about the Galaxy Xcover 5 predecessor, the Galaxy Xcover 4, it was launched by Samsung late back in 2017. It featured a 5-inch IPS LCD display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution, that offered 16:9 ratio. It came up with Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the box, and had 2GB RAM along with 16GB storage.
In terms of camera department, it featured 13MP rear-facing camera, 5MP front-facing camera, and packed in small 2800mAh battery. As the device was part of Samsung’s rugged series lineup, it even offered IP68 dust and water resistance, and had MIL-STD-810G compliancy.
