Redmi K50 Series Tipped to Feature Snapdragon 895, 67W Fast Charging, and More

Xiaomi is expected to launch the Redmi K50 series later this year. The flagship Redmi smartphone series was teased previously. It is claimed to offer better screen quality and faster charging speeds. The company has not yet revealed the device’s launch date or key specs at the moment. Meanwhile, some details of the flagship Redmi K-series phones have leaked online. According to a new leak, the upcoming devices from the Xiaomi sub-brand will draw power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 895 SoC under the hood. Redmi K50 series specs rumoured

Redmi K50 series is expected to launch later this year. Ahead of the launch, some key details of the Redmi flagship phones have leaked online. According to a tipster, the K50 series will come with Qualcomm’s next flagship SoC, dubbed Snapdragon 895. The processor is yet to get its official launch date. Xiaomi is usually among the first set of smartphone manufacturers to launch phones with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon flagship chip. We can expect the same with the K50 series later this year.

The tipster further claims that the devices will feature 67W fast charging support. It is also said to “complete the shortcomings of the main camera.” This could either mean a higher resolution camera or a larger sensor with better lowlight capabilities. 

While the display size remains unknown, the tipster notes that it will have a centrally aligned hole-punch camera cutout. The device is likely to feature an in-display fingerprint scanner.
