OnePlus 10T is Here and 5 Reasons Why it’s an Excellent Smartphone to Buy

OnePlus has launched its most awaited device, the 10T in India and in global markets. This is the first time after the OnePlus-Oppo merger that the company launched a T series device. The last time we saw a T series device was back in 2020 which was the OnePlus 8T (Review). Since then a lot has changed with the OnePlus. Despite that, the OnePlus 10T seems to be an excellent option to go for. The premium flagship phone from OnePlus looks solid on paper. With the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, 50 megapixels Sony IMX766 triple rear camera setup, 150W SuperVOOC charging, and much more, the OnePlus 10T 5G surely looks appealing. While our review of the OnePlus 10T 5G is live now, we list the five reasons why this is an excellent device and you should go without giving it a second thought.

Top Reasons to Buy OnePlus 10T 5G

120Hz AMOLED Display

The OnePlus 10T features a 6.7-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels. Apart from this, it supports a 120Hz refresh rate to provide a smooth scrolling experience. Moreover, it supports 10-bit colour depth, HDR10+ content and up to 1,000Hz touch sampling rate. On the front, it has a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 that protects it from scratches. Regarding the display features, the device comes with an Image sharpener, colour enhancer, bright HDR video mode, vibrant colour effect pro, and much more.

150W SuperVOOC Charging

The OnePlus 10T has a 150W SuperVOOC fast charging technology that the company claims can charge the 4,800mAh battery from 1 to 100 per cent in just 19 minutes. The company further states a 10-minutes charge should be enough to use the device all day. The 150W charging option is available in a special edition called the Endurance Edition. A 160W charging adapter comes inside the box that supports PD charging as well, meaning that you can also charge your laptops, tablets and other devices with it. OnePlus says that to keep the battery safe and long-lasting, the device uses a battery health engine to extend the battery lifespan and preserve it.

50MP Sony IMX766 Sensor

The OnePlus 10T has a 10 Pro like camera island on the back. It features a triple camera setup on the back, the primary being the 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor. The 1/1.56-inch sensor helps in capturing a good amount of light and better details. It supports Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and Electronics Image Stabilisation (EIS), which helps make the videos look less shaky. Accompanying the primary sensor is an 8MP ultra-wide with a 119.9 degrees field of view and a 2MP macro sensor. The OnePlus 10T 5G doesn’t have Hasselblad branding as the company says its goal was to offer it an “ultimate performance flagship smartphone experience” with it.

Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Processor

The OnePlus 10T is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, currently the most powerful mobile chipset. The octa-core CPU is said to offer 10 per cent better performance and a 30 per cent improvement in efficiency.  The chipset is paired with a whopping 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. For gaming, it features a Hyperboost Engine that is added to make the games smoother and more responsive. Moreover, the company has introduced a Glacier Mat Case that it says can help the phone cool down.

Oxygen OS 12.1 Software

The OnePlus 10T 5G boots Android 12-based Oxygen OS 12.1 skin out of the box. The company has also revealed the Android 13-based Oxygen OS 13 at the 10T launch event in New York. The Oxygen OS is said to be one of the most feature-rich UI with less amount of bloatware. It features a Work-Life Balance 2.0 feature, a Scout feature, enhanced dark mode, OnePlus Shelf, Always-On Display 2.0, Game Toolbox 2.0, Notes, and much more. For user’s data safety, it has a Private Safe in which photos, videos, or files can be hidden.
