Samsung Galaxy A53 5G Gets New One UI 5.0 Update Based on Android 13: Check Details

Samsung has started rolling out its new One UI 5.0 update for Galaxy devices. The company is working on the rollout for several smartphones launched over the past two years or so. The Galaxy S22 series, which is currently the company’s flagship smartphone offering, is already getting the new update. Samsung has now started rolling out the One UI 5.0 update (via) for the Galaxy A53 5G as well. The Galaxy A53 5G is among the premium smartphone offerings from the company in India.

While the India variant is yet to receive the new update, Samsung is pushing its latest One UI software for users in the Netherlands. Considering how aggressively Samsung is rolling out the new update for different smartphones and users, the Galaxy A53 5G India variant could also get the new One UI 5.0 update in the coming days.

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G Gets One UI 5.0 Update

The new One UI 5.0 update rolling out to Samsung Galaxy A53 5G users in the Netherlands is based on the latest Android 13 version. Samsung has added a bunch of features and customisation options on top of the Android 13 update. The new update rolling out to Galaxy a53 5G users in the Netherlands has the build number A536BXXU4BVJG. The update is about 2GB in size and brings with it the October security patch as well.

The Galaxy A53 5G was scheduled to get its new One UI 5 update in November alongside other Galaxy phones like the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3, etc.

Samsung has introduced many new changes in One UI 5.0. The update brings with it some design improvements over One UI 4.0. Galaxy phones running the new One UI update get new app icons and illustrations. The update also brings minor enhancements to the Android colour palette, which matches the system UI colour based on the wallpaper. 

The home screen adds support for stacked widgets, where users can add multiple widgets and stack them one above the other. The feature automatically switches to a new widget added in the larger widget every few seconds.

The company claims that the new update also improves animations and transition effects, which is said to make the overall user experience feel a lot smoother. Users can also customise their lock screen, add more wallpapers and also set a different call background for each contact.
