Xiaomi is launching the Redmi Note 12 series on March 23 in global markets. The company is expected to launch multiple smartphones under the Note 12 series. Ahead of the Redmi Note 12 series global launch, a Redmi smartphone with the model number 2303CRA44A has been spotted on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification database, courtesy of GoAndroid.

Redmi 2303CRA44A, alongside 23030RAC7Y, was also spotted on the EEC a few days back. The publication claims that the smartphone that cleared FCC certification is the Redmi Note 12S and it will be a rebadged Redmi Note 11S with a few changes under the hood. Let us take a closer look at the details.

The FCC certification listing for the upcoming Redmi smartphone confirms that it will feature support for 67W fast charging. The documents reveal the model number of the charging adapter MDY-14-EU/EK/EL which is a 67W fast-charging adapter. The listing further reveals that the upcoming Redmi smartphone will be similar to the Redmi 2201117SG with a few under-the-hood changes.

To those unaware, the smartphone with the model number 2201117SG is the Redmi Note 11S which was launched last year. The FCC listing reveals that the upcoming Redmi smartphone will be similar to the Redmi Note 11S with changes in the camera and charging department. However, the listing doesn’t mention the specific changes. Based on these, it appears that the upcoming Redmi smartphone could be the Redmi Note 12S and it might be similar to last year’s Note 11S in terms of specifications.

The images of the upcoming Redmi smartphone also appeared on the FCC website which reveals that it will offer a centered punch-hole notch display similar to the Note 11S. The top edge of the device reveals the 3.5mm audio jack, IR blaster, and speaker grill. This is the first time when the device has been spotted on a certification website, so not much is known about the device in terms of specifications. However, we can expect to learn more about the upcoming Redmi smartphone in the coming days.

To recall, the Note 11S offers a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and 1000nits peak brightness. The handset is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G96 processor and up to 8GB of RAM. It offers a quad-rear camera setup including a 108MP primary shooter. The device is backed by a 5000mAh battery unit and 33W fast charging support.
