Realme 2 Now Available on Open Sale via Flipkart, Offers 90% Exchange Value at Just Re.1

Since the Realme 2 launched in India, it is being sold only through flash sales. Well, that changes today. The Realme 2 is now available to purchase in open sale via Flipkart, which means users will no more have to wait for the flash sale to purchase the device. They can buy it whenever they want. The good news doesn’t end there. Apart from open availability, Flipkart is offering its 30-Day Phone Exchange Plan at just INR 1 with the Realme 2. This plan allows users to get 90% exchange value on the Realme 2 provided that they exchange it for some other smartphone on Flipkart within a month of purchase.

Realme 2 Price in India

The Realme 2 launched in India last October. The device comes in two variants. The base variant has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage and it costs INR 9,499, while the other variant which has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage costs INR 10,990.

Realme 2 Specifications

The Realme 2 has a 6.2-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The display features a nearly bezel-less design and it has a notch at the top that houses the front-facing camera and sensors.

The Realme 2 comes with a 13MP + 2MP dual-camera at the back and an 8MP camera at the front. Among the two cameras on the back, the 13MP sensor is the one that is used for taking photos and recording videos. The 2MP camera is a depth-sensor to aid in portrait images. The rear camera can record Full HD videos and so does the front-facing camera. There are beautification features built into the camera app.

The Realme 2 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC, which has eight Cortex-A53 cores and Adreno 506 GPU. As I mentioned earlier, the device comes in two variants. The base variant has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, while the other one has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. There is also a dedicated microSD card slot that can support cards up to 256GB. The Realme 2 ships with Android 8.1 Oreo OS and it has ColorOS 5.2 custom theme over it.

The Realme 2 has a 4230mAh battery. There is however no fast charging option available. As for connectivity, the Realme 2 has dual-SIM, dual-4G, dual-VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS with A-GPS, FM Radio, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a microUSB 2.0 port that supports OTG functionality.

The Realme 2 features a unique design pattern on the back that looks like the cuts on a diamond. The names of the color variants of the Realme 2 are also based on diamond; Diamond Blue, Diamond Red, and Diamond Black.
