Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Series will Reportedly Launch in India on August 20

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 series is all set to be officially announced internationally on August 7 with sales likely to start soon after. India, it seems, is in the list of countries where the handsets would first go on sale. In fact, if we are to believe a recent report by 91Mobiles, Samsung will launch both the Galaxy Note 10 and the Note 10 Plus in India on August 20. The report also adds that both the phones will be on sale starting August 22. This, incidentally, is the same day that the handset will go on sale in other markets across the globe. Note that this report about the Galaxy Note 10 Series coming to India soon is yet to be officially confirmed by the company themselves. Samsung usually starts issuing launch invites for the event a few days before the launch and at least for India, that is yet to happen.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10: What we know so far

Being the second lineup of flagship-class handsets from Samsung for this year, the Galaxy Note 10 series will get flagship-class hardware. Unlike previous occasions where Samsung launched a single variant of the phone, this time around there will be two Galaxy Note models – the standard variant and higher-priced Galaxy Note 10 Plus which will have several extra features over and above the standard edition. As the case has been with Samsung handsets, the Note 10 series will also be sold in two versions – the Chinese and international variants that will get a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC and the Exynos based variant that will be sold in India and a handful of other markets. The international variant is likely to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC while in India, we are most likely to get the Exynos 9825 variant. Both these versions of the Galaxy Note 10 series will also support 25W fast charging technology if we are to believe recent reports. The standard Galaxy Note 10 is expected to feature a 6.4-inch AMOLED panel while the Galaxy Note 10 Plus will get a larger 6.8-inch panel. Both the handsets will get a ‘punch hole’ where the front-facing camera hardware will be positioned.

As for the camera setup, it is widely expected that the Galaxy Note 10 Plus will get a quad-camera setup at the rear consisting of a 12MP primary sensor with variable aperture (f/1.5 – f/2.4) and a second 16-megapixel wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The third sensor will use a 12MP sensor mated to a telephoto lens with 2X optical zoom while the forth sensor would be of the ToF kind and will be used for depth measurement. At the front, the Galaxy Note 10 will reportedly get a 10MP sensor for selfies and video calling.
