Google allows dinosaurs to roam your house using AR

Google’s ARCore lets you run AR apps on smartphones, but the most accessible AR elements reside in Google Search itself. Google has been ingesting augmented reality versions of popular animals like lions, horses and more in Google Search for quite some time now. The latest addition is straight out of Jurassic Park — Dinosaurs.

Google has collaborated with Universal to bring the fun dinosaurs from Jurassic Park into lifesize form, projected on a flat surface. Google has also added animations and effects like roaring and stomping to make it more immersive.

As of now, you can see dinosaurs like Tyrannosaurus Rex, Velociraptor, Triceratops, Spinosaurus, Stegosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Dilophosaurus, Pteranodon, and Parasaurolophus, with AR.

The thing about dinosaurs is that they are humongous,  as compared to a lion or a wolf. So fitting them in a small space was a big challenge for Google. The company says it added a new auto-scaling feature to fit them automatically into a space, so you can see them as you move.

Finding these dinosaurs are also easy. You just need to ask for dinosaurs on Search or any of the 10 dinosaurs Google has listed out. It can be viewed on the Google Search app or on the browser of any device running on Android 7 and above. However, you will need a device that supports Google’s ARCore APIs. Otherwise, you will just be seeing them in 3D. You can also check out the dinos in Chrome and Safari on iOS devices running on iOS11 and above.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G Bags FCC Certification, Images Appear on TENAA Ahead of Launch

The 5G version of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is said to make its debut in August alongside the Galaxy Note20 series. This upcoming foldable clamshell smartphone from Samsung has been leaked multiple times so far. Today, we get to know more about the Galaxy Z Flip 5G as we have spotted it on the FCC certification platform and the TENAA listing of the phone that went live a few days ago has been updated with full specifications and images of the device.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G gets FCC certification

The FCC certification that we have come across is for the SM-F707B variant of the Galaxy Z Flip 5G. While the certification has a bunch of documents, this is what we have found.

First is a document that has three screenshots of the Galaxy Z Flip 5G. The first screenshot is of the settings menu of the device. It shows that the Galaxy Z Flip 5G has the standard settings menu that we see in Samsung smartphones nowadays. The second screenshot shows the About phone screen of the device. It mentions the model number of the smartphone, the SM-F707B. The third screenshot is of the Status menu of the phone. This menu shows that the phone has a 15W charging support.

The second document is an EMC report of the device. It reveals that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G that has been used for testing has been manufactured in Korea. This document also confirms that the Galaxy Z Flip 5G will have two batteries, EB-BF707ABY (main) and EB-BF708ABY (sub). It also has mentions of Samsung YBD-19HS headphones, Samsung EP-DF700BBE data cable, and Samsung EP-TA200 travel adapter (charger) but there is no confirmation if these accessories will ship with the device.

Another FCC document shows that the Galaxy Z Flip 5G has a dual-band Wi-Fi ax, a step up from the Wi-Fi ac support in the Galaxy Z Flip 4G.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G full specifications and images revealed on TENAA

The TENAA listing reveals the images of the Galaxy Z Flip from all angles. As you can see in these images, the design of the Galaxy Z Flip 5G is unchanged from the 4G version of the phone. It has the same foldable design, a center punch-hole display on the inside, a small display on the outside, a dual-camera setup at the rear, a fingerprint scanner and volume button to the right-hand side of the device, and a SIM card tray to the left-hand side of the device, just like that with the Galaxy Z Flip 4G.

The updated listing of the Galaxy Z Flip 5G on TENAA reveals that the phone has two screens, a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with 2636 x 1080 pixels resolution and a 1.05-inch AMOLED panel with 300 x 112 pixels resolution. According to the listing, the phone has a dual-camera setup at the rear with a 12MP primary sensor and a 12MP secondary sensory. It reveals that the Galaxy Z Flip 5G has an octa-core processor with 3.09GHz, which is most probably the Snapdragon 865+ SoC. In terms of memory, the phone has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. On the software front, it comes with the Android 10 OS. The listing also reveals that the Galaxy Z Flip 5G has two batteries, 2500mAh + 704mAh, SA/NSA 5G connectivity, a fingerprint scanner, and fast charging.

Google Pixel 4a gets two more certifications on its way to becoming official

The Pixel 4a saga continues. This affordable smartphone was initially rumored to make an appearance at the Google I/O conference in May, but then that got canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. So we heard the launch was pushed to July, but apparently that's not happening anymore, with the handset inexplicably now being expected to see the light of day in October. That's weird, considering how much it's already leaked, but it's far from the weirdest thing Google's ever done. Regardless of when the Pixel 4a will actually become available, it's continuing its certification march. It was...

How To Store Data Logger Data To a Memory Card

How To Store Data Logger Data To a Memory Card

An electronic device is a data logger (or datalogger), usually known as data logging, which is used to store data over time. This includes many devices for data acquisition, for instance, plug-ins or serial communication systems that use a computer as a data recording system in real-time. Wireless communicators are actually also able to turn a standard smartphone (or tablets) into a mobile logger. Satellite connections, broadband networks, and the in the data-based world of today. The terms “data logging” and “data loggers” are commonly heard on the Internet and not even have a good understanding of what they are. Visit https://www.hugdiy.com/

What is the use of Data Loggers?

Wherever a recording state requires any benefit over a span of time, data loggers are used. The applications range from wind speed logging to temperature control in chilled storage containers to flow analysis in a remote pumping station. The software is retrieved and the data is transferred to a PC for review at the conclusion of the acquisition process. Data loggers are also available to send measuring results wirelessly to a computer that is equipped with a data logging program. For those trying to keep up, data loggers constitute useful resources. Conditions lacking on-site supervision. Consultants for the environment,

Construction administrators, resources auditors, analysts and many more

Both skilled data loggers depend on their:

Low-cost

The price of data loggers has fallen with microprocessor advances A single logger will cost less than $100 in recent years as well as a single sensor. Through beginning and leaving a logger unattended, users save time and energy. to take samples on schedule instead of staying on-location Our own. Data logger’s low cost also makes the usage of Several loggers, raising project duration and in certain situations Improving the quantity of data for scientific purposes.

Ease of use

Certainly, data loggers are used by engineers and science technicians, however, for research experiments, they are often used for elementary school students. This is likely to be just 15 minutes from the box open to the data logger deployment; Link the logger to a device and use the data for those models Software of the logger for sampling frequency setup and start/stop periods, And you are prepared to go. You are able to travel. Activated loggers do not have Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). They do need a screen, a smart device, and an app only. It is always quick to import data and it is easy to evaluate, charts, for display or export to other programs and designed. We ‘re trying to protect throughout another segment, this in more depth.

Reliability

You will use battery-powered data until configured and deployed.

Logger to capture as long as you need details. No, your data processing could be compromised whether you have mistaken, expected dispute, poor conditions, poor handwriting, or input errors. Indoor or outside, the data loggers are versatile instruments built to deal with a variety, including seawater, freezing, heavy winds, and constant sunshine.

How to download Data

A data recording system provides many methods to collect measurements. What you have to do is gather it from the field and connect it into a PC for a quick USB data logger. Datalogging tools for streamlining the installation phase and promoting Excel or other programs for formatting. Alternatives include the serial data logger and RS232 data logger if the direct link to the data logger is not suitable however the wired interface is viable. It is unfeasible to use a wireless data logger to pass data to a receiver that is linked to a Computer while wired out to a remote data logger.

For how long can they store data?

The duration of storage depends on the data logger ‘s memory power and the required sample rate. Determining the duration by the sample rate divides the memory capacity(sample amount that the computer may record). As an example suppose 10,000 samples can be stored in a given data logger. The machine will operate 10,000/2 or 5,000 minutes (about 3.5 days) if you choose to report two samples per minute. The reporting time would double to seven days if the sample rate was cut in half (1 sample per minute).

Redmi 9A Could Launch Under POCO Brand, TUV Rheinland Certification Reveals

After many leaks and rumors, Redmi has finally launched the Redmi 9A today. The phone has made its global debut in Malaysia. And it will most probably be launched in other markets as well. However, the Redmi 9A might not launch under the Redmi branding in all the markets. We have now come across a TUV Rheinland certification of the Redmi 9A which suggests that Redmi 9A might be launched as a POCO phone in other markets.

Redmi 9A TUV Rheinland certification

POCO (M2006C3MI) TUV Rheinland Certification

The TUV Rheinland certification that we have spotted today mentions multiple model numbers from Xiaomi. All these model numbers contain M2006C3, suggesting that these are various models of the Redmi 9A. However, among all these models, one model number in the certification – M2006C3LI – has POCO mentioned beside it, which suggests that the M2006C3MI variant of the Redmi 9A will be launched under the POCO branding.

Xiaomi has so far launched mid-range smartphones under the POCO branding. We haven’t seen an entry-level smartphone with the POCO branding yet. And that might change soon when the brand launches Redmi 9A under the POCO brand. Currently, we don’t have any information about what will be the marketing name of the Redmi 9A under POCO branding.  We also don’t have any information about when will Xiaomi launch the Redmi 9A as a POCO phone. But the TUV Rheinland certification does strongly suggest that Redmi 9A will launch under POCO branding

Redmi 9A specifications

The Redmi 9A features a 6.53-inch IPS LCD with HD resolution and a U-shaped notch at the top. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G25 SoC and it comes mated to 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. The phone packs a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The Redmi 9A features 5000mAh battery as well. The phone has been priced at RM359 in the Malaysian market.

Google Pixel 4a Spotted at IMDA Listing Ahead of Launch, NFC Support Confirmed

Google is reportedly in the works to launch its mid-range offering of 2020, dubbed the Google Pixel 4a in July 2020. A recent leak hints that the Google Pixel 4a will launch on July 13, 2020. While the exact launch date has not yet been confirmed, we have been able to spot the Google Pixel 4a on the IMDA certification website, which not only reveals some of its specifications, but also hints at an imminent launch. Take a look at the IMDA certification for the Google Pixel 4a smartphone and find out what we know about the device so far.

Google Pixel 4a clears IMDA and BIS certification; launch date imminent

As seen in the IMDA certification authority image, the Google Pixel 4a (with the model number Google G025N) will be a 4G device and will have support for NFC. The device will run on Wi-Fi abgn band and will (obviously) have Bluetooth support. Other than what we mentioned, the IMDA certification fails to mention anything else about the device. Adding to this, the Google Pixel 4a has also been listed on the Indian BIS certification website, which does not necessarily mean that it would launch in India, but it is still an indication nevertheless.

That being said, previous rumors and leaks point to speculation that the Google Pixel 4a will feature a 5.81-inch OLED panel with a Full HD+ resolution. The device does not appear to have any sort of high refresh rate, which is acceptable given its mid-range nature. The device will reportedly be fueled with a 3,080mAh battery with support for fast charging. For photography, the Google Pixel 4a will rely on a single rear camera setup. Under the hood, the Google Pixel 4a is said to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor, which will be assisted by 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB internal storage options. To learn more about the upcoming Google Pixel 4a, you can head to our previous coverage for the same.

We will keep you posted on the Google Pixel 4a, should there be any new leaks/reports about the same. What are your thoughts on the upcoming Google Pixel 4a smartphone? Do let us know in the comments section below.

PUBG Mobile to get new Livik map from 7 July

PUBG Mobile has confirmed that its new map, Livik will be available to all players from July 7 onwards as part of the v0.19.0 update. The new map is the game’s first map that is exclusive to the mobile version. It is also expected to be one of the smallest maps yet for the game, even smaller than Sanhok, with each game limited to 50 players.

Pack your virtual bags and get ready to take a trip to PUBG MOBILE's first exclusive map Livik. Break new ground with Update 0.19.0 becoming available to all regions on July 7th! Join in on the action nowhttps://t.co/Lvgc5qlZAp pic.twitter.com/K661LrsUbW

— PUBG MOBILE (@PUBGMOBILE) June 30, 2020

In an interview,  the developers noted that the idea behind the new map is to allow for shorter, faster-paced matches. This would make it ideal for working professionals who may not have the time to play a normal game of PUBG Mobile on large maps like Miramar and Erangel as these games can last for 40 minutes or so.

Besides a shorter and more frenetic play style, Livik also comes with a bunch of new additions. This includes the introduction of the P90 SMG to battle royale. The weapon was initially limited to Team Death Match mode. Then there is the MK12 burst-fire sniper rifle, which should be quite devastating in long-range situations. Finally, there is the Monster Truck, a new vehicle added to the map. The developers also note that a majority of the weapons in the game will now be able to use the extended barrel weapon attachment. This is to make starting weapons more effective in late stages of the game as players may not have the time to scavenge for newer weapons.

However, those players waiting for Erangel 2.0 will have to wait a little longer. The developers noted that they were still “putting the final touches on the map” and players can expect the new version of the classic map to be available later this year.

You can learn more about the new map here.

Samsung Galaxy A42 with 5G Support Tipped for 2021 Launch

5G is currently the talk of the day amongst many smartphone makers. As the world moves to the next generation of mobile networks, OEMs are trying to make the cheapest devices that support 5G. Currently, the title is reserved for Honor, Xiaomi, and Realme all of whom have some of the cheapest 5G-enabled devices. Now Samsung also is reportedly planning to enter the affordable 5G market with a new device under its Galaxy A-series. Already in the global markets, there are 5G-versions of the Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71 but Samsung is looking further down the line with the upcoming Galaxy A42 5G.

As per an exclusive report by Sammobile, a device with the model number SM-A426B is currently being developed as a 5G phone for 2021. The report states that there is no evidence of the phone supporting LTE which leads to the belief that the Galaxy A42 will likely have 5G. In other regions, such as India Samsung will likely release a 4G-only version.

It is still very early to predict the possible specs of the design elements of the device. The report states that the phone could likely have 128GB of internal storage which is an upgrade from the Galaxy A41’s 64GB option only. In terms of colour options, the report mentions that the Galaxy A42 5G will come in gray, black, and white colors. It could also be possible that in the near future Samsung will make only 5G-enabled devices in its Galaxy A-series, S-series, and Note-series.

The Galaxy A41 has not been announced in India as of right now and it seems unlikely that the Galaxy A42 will make any entrance in the country’s market. What do you think about the Galaxy A42 5G? Do you want to see it in the Indian market? Let us know in the comments below.

Microsoft could reveal Xbox Series S in August 2020: Report

If information circulating the internet is to be believed, then we could see the much rumoured less powerful Xbox Series S also known as Lockhart revealed in August 2020. According to the source, “The company was aiming to show off the long-rumoured, more-affordable Xbox Lockhart around June 9. But it pushed those plans all the way to August — at least for now”. So it looks like Microsoft is waiting to showcase the new console, but when Sony held its PS5 reveal event, the company showed off the design of the PS5 along with an all-digital version of the console.

According to Tom Warren from the Verge, “I’ve been reporting on Xbox Lockhart having a slightly underclocked CPU, but I now believe it’s the same speed as Series X. Just different GPU frequencies and CU counts”. So if the CPU is the same, then we can presume that the CPU bottleneck will not be an issue for developers. However, the lower CU counts and GPU frequency means that the console could take a hit on resolution but still deliver the same performance with games. This is quite the different approach when compared to Sony who is giving users the same hardware under the hood, with the only difference being the presence/absence of a Blu-ray drive.

"Obviously, in the name 'Series X,' it gives us the freedom to do other things with that name so that we can create descriptors when we need to," Xbox head Phil Spencer said in December 2019 to Gamespot when the Xbox Series X was first unveiled.

Information about the Lockhart console was also revealed in leaked Microsoft documents. The documents read, “Welcome to the June 2020 Microsoft Game Development Kit (GDK) release. You can use the GDK to develop games that can be certified and approved for release on Windows 10 PCs, Xbox One Consoles, and Project Scarlett consoles. In fact, you can target all those devices using a shared codebase”.

Microsoft is expected to showcase its first-party games at an event in July. We are looking forward to getting a look at gameplay from titles like Hellblade: Senua’s Saga, Halo Infinite and many more.
