Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi unveiled its Redmi 9 smartphone a little while ago in several countries and is now gearing up for the launch of two more Redmi 9-series smartphones, dubbed the Redmi 9A and the Redmi 9C. Amongst these two, the Redmi 9A has already popped up on the internet a couple of days ago, when we spotted the same on the company’s official product catalog for Malaysia. The product catalog gave us a working clue as to what we can expect from the Redmi 9A. Now, a new report has come up, which has revealed that both Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C will launch in Malaysia on June 30, 2020. The promotional poster also teases at a ‘big battery’ and a ‘big display’ to be two of the highlights of the devices. Take a look at what we know about the Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C smartphones so far.
Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C to launch on June 30; here’s what we know so far
As seen in the promotional poster, both Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C will launch in Malaysia on June 30, 2020. By the looks of it, we can expect both devices to flaunt a waterdrop notch display, which is pretty common in the price segment they will be offered at. The promotional poster does not explicitly tell us anything about the specifications of the devices, but we have already received the alleged specifications in the form of a leak a little while ago. Notably, both Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C will be powered by a MediaTek Helio G25 processor, which will be paired with 3GB of RAM. The Redmi 9C will reportedly have 64GB of internal storage, while the Redmi 9A will make do with a 32GB storage option. Both devices will have scope for storage expansion, by the wa.
For the camera enthusiasts out there, the Redmi 9C and the Redmi 9A will feature a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP selfie snapper. The rear camera will most likely be accompanied by an LED flash. The devices will feature a fingerprint scanner as well, as per the leak. On the display front, the Redmi 9A and the Redmi 9C will feature a 6.53-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel with a 1,600 x 720 pixels resolution. On the software front, we can expect both devices to run on the latest Android 10-based MIUI skin.
Coming to the batteries of the devices, the Redmi 9C and the Redmi 9A will sport a beefy 5,000mAh battery, which justifies the promotional poster. It is unclear as to whether or not there will be scope for fast charging, but given the budget nature of the device, asking for fast charging will be a bit impractical anyway.
