Last month, we discovered that Samsung is working on a new M-series phone, the Galaxy M01s, thanks to its listing on the Wi-Fi Alliance certification platform and Geekbench benchmarking platform. Today, the Samsung Galaxy M01s has been listed on Google Play Console. And it reveals some interesting information.
Samsung Galaxy M01s is a rebranded Galaxy A10s
The section of the Google Play Console where the name of the Galaxy M01s is mentioned, also mentions Galaxy A10s, suggesting that the Galaxy M01s is going to be a rebranded version of the Galaxy A10s that was launched in August last year.
The Google Play Console listing of the Galaxy M01s also reveals that the phone has an HD display with 280 PPI density, MediaTek MT6762 (Helio P22) SoC with four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.0GHz, four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.5GHz, and PowerVR GE8320 GPU, 2GB of RAM, and Android 10 OS. These are the same specifications that the Galaxy A10s boasts, which further confirms that the Galaxy M01s is a rebranded version of the Galaxy A10s.
Considering that the Galaxy M01s is a rebranded version of the Galaxy A10s, you can expect it to feature a 6.2-inch screen, a 13MP + 2MP dual-camera setup at the rear, an 8MP camera at the front, dual-SIM support, 4G, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, 3.5mm audio jack, a microUSB port, a fingerprint scanner, and a 4000mAh battery with 10W charging speed.
