Redmi 9A to be Powered by MediaTek Helio G25 SoC, 5000mAh Battery: Xiaomi’s Offiical Website Reveals

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi recently unveiled its entry-level offering, dubbed the Redmi 9 in several markets. The company now appears to be gearing up for the launch of another smartphone, which will reportedly be called the Redmi 9A. The Redmi 9A has made several rounds on the internet over the past couple of weeks, as it has received a bunch of certifications. Well, certifications apart, the Redmi 9A is now listed in the latest product catalog of the company, which gives us plenty of intel surrounding its specifications and features. Take a look at the Redmi 9A smartphone and find out what it has in store for us.

The company’s official Philippines website has rolled out its latest product catalog, which consists of the upcoming Redmi 9A smartphone as well. The July-August brochure has kept the Redmi 9A under the ‘coming soon’ tab, but it still gives us plenty of details about its specifications. Notably, the Redmi 9A will feature a 6.53-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch at the top. The waterdrop notch will make room for a 5MP selfie shooter. At the back, the Redmi 9A will sport a 13MP primary lens with an LED flash.

Coming to the battery of the device, the Redmi 9A will sport a large 5,000mAh battery. Expecting fast charging from the device will be a little bit of injustice, but we cannot be entirely sure of that for now. On the software side of things, the Redmi 9A will likely ship with the latest Android 10-based MIUI skin. Powering the Redmi 9A will be an unannounced MediaTek Helio G25 processor, which will feature eight cores and will be clocked at 2.0GHz.

For now, this is pretty much all the details that we have been able to gather surrounding the Redmi 9A from the image (plus, there is a product image as well, but we are not sure if it is actually the Redmi 9A or a placeholder image, because it looks just like the previous-generation Redmi 8A smartphone), but we can expect to hear more about the device in the coming days as the launch date approaches. Whenever we do, we will keep you posted on the same.
