Asus’ upcoming gaming-centric flagship smartphone, the ROG Phone 3, has been leaked plenty of times so far. We have spotted it on TENAA, EEC, and Wi-Fi Alliance certification platforms, and Geekbench and AnTuTu benchmarking platforms. Moreover, the phone has been leaked in hands-on images and videos as well. Today, the ROG Phone 3 has been leaked once again. This time courtesy of the Bluetooth SIG platform.
Asus ROG Phone 3 gets Bluetooth SIG certification
The Bluetooth SIG certification of the ROG Phone 3 is for the two models of the device, the I003D and I003DD. Currently, we don’t what is the difference between these two models but we do know for sure that they belong to ROG Phone 3, thanks to past leaks. That being said, one can expect these models to be for different memory configurations, colors, or regions. Anyway, the Bluetooth SIG certification of the ROG Phone 3 shows that it has Bluetooth v5.1 as well as Bluetooth v5.2.
To recall, the Snapdragon 865 supports only up to Bluetooth v5.1. Now considering that the Asus ROG Phone 3 has Bluetooth v5.2, it looks like the phone features a newer SoC. Leaks of the device in the past have suggested the same thing, that the phone features a more powerful SoC than the Snapdragon 865. Everyone is expecting this newer and more powerful SoC to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ but there is no confirmation yet.
Asus ROG Phone 3 specifications we know so far
The TENAA certification of the ROG Phone 3 reveals that the device has a 6.59-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, a triple-camera setup at the rear with a 64MP main camera and 4K video recording, 13MP front camera, an octa-core processor with a clock frequency up to 3.10 GHz, up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, Android 10 OS, and design similar to that of the ROG Phone 2, with an ROG logo on the back panel. Whereas, the AnTuTu listing of the device suggests that it will come with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 storage modules.
