POCO M3 and Redmi Note 9T 5G Clears SIRIM Malaysia Certification, Launch Seems Imminent

POCO has already announced that it will unveil its brand-new mid-range Android smartphone, dubbed the POCO M3, in the global markets on November 24, 2020. Furthermore, there have been rumors surrounding the global launch of a new Redmi Note 9 series smartphone, which will allegedly be called the Redmi Note 9T. Though the global launch of the Redmi Note 9T has not been confirmed yet, we are certain that its launch is also imminent. Well, today, we have spotted both the devices that we mentioned above on the SIRIM certification website, thereby hinting at an imminent launch in the Asian markets as well. Take a look at the SIRIM certification for the POCO M3 and the Redmi Note 9T 5G and find out what it has in store for us.

POCO M3 and Redmi Note 9T receive SIRIM certification in Malaysia

As seen in the SIRIM certification image above, the POCO M3 (with the model number M2020J19CG) and the Redmi Note 9T (with the model number M2007J22G) have recently been certified in Malaysia. As per the certification, the Redmi Note 9T will feature NFC support and will be a 5G handset. As far as the POCO M3 smartphone is concerned, it will be a 4G handset.

While we don’t know much about the Redmi Note 9T as of now, the specifications of the POCO M3 smartphone have recently leaked. Notably, the POCO M3 is tipped to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor. The device is said to flaunt a 6.53-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD panel with a waterdrop notch. In terms of cameras, the POCO M3 is said to come with a 48MP triple rear camera setup. Lastly, the POCO M3 will reportedly sport a large 6,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging over a USB Type-C charging port.
