Xiaomi’s Redmi launched the Redmi Note 9 4G along with Redmi Note 9 5G, and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G last week in China. Out of the three smartphones that are unveiled under the Redmi Note 9 series in China, the cheapest – Redmi Note 9 4G is said to make a debut as Redmi 9T in the global markets. Now, we have spotted Redmi 9 Power with model number name M2010J19SI on the Google Play listing. Alongside the Redmi 9 Power, we also spotted POCO M3 Indian variant with model number M2010J19CI, which launched globally last week only.
Redmi 9 Power Moniker Confirmed by Google Play Supported Devices List, Reveals It is a Rebranded Redmi Note 9 4G
To those unaware, M2010J19SC is the model number for Redmi Note 9 4G China. This means that Redmi Note 9 4G Chinese variant launch as Redmi 9 Power in India. A few hours back, Xiaomi also uploaded Recovery and Fastboot versions of the MIUI ROM for lime_in (lime is the codename for Redmi Note 9 4G). We got Akhil Narang, a recognized custom ROM developer, to look into the source codes, and we could confirm the Redmi 9 Power moniker from the source code as well.
POCO M3 India Variant Appears in Google Play Supported Devices List
Alongside the Redmi 9 Power, we also spotted POCO M3 Indian variant with model number M2010J19CI. POCO M3 shares a lot in common with the Redmi Note 9 4G Chinese variant.
Redmi 9 Power, and POCO M3: Expected Price
Going by the POCO M3 and Redmi Note 9 4G China pricing, we can expect Redmi 9 Power and POCO M3 to be priced around Rs 10,000 in India. POCO India might launch POCO M3 in the 6GB RAM variant only, as they did with the POCO M2. We can expect POCO M3 to be a bit higher in price compared to the Redmi 9 Prime. Redmi 9 Power (Redmi Note 9 4G China): Specifications and Features
Redmi Note 9 4G packs a 6.53-inch FHD+ LCD display with 2340×1080 pixel resolution and 400 nits brightness. The smartphone features a water-drop notch and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under-the-hood, it packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 662, which is built on an 11nm fabrication process. While the graphics duties are handled by integrated Adreno 610 GPU. The smartphone packs up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB onboard storage which can further be expanded with the help of a dedicated micro-SD card slot.
Coming to the optics, the Redmi Note 9 4G features a 48MP triple-rear camera setup. The primary 48MP sensor on the smartphone gets accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and 118° field-of-view. The smartphone also packs a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, the device packs an 8MP shooter with an f/2.0 aperture. On the battery front, the smartphone offers a 6,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The device features a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfers.
Redmi Note 9 4G boots Android 10 based MIUI 12 for now, and it will launch with Android 10 in India too, at least that’s what we could find by looking at the source codes. The fingerprint sensor on the device is embedded in the power button which can be found on the right side. The smartphone offers a 3.5mm audio jack, stereo speaker setup, and an IR blaster. For the connectivity, there is Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS on the device. It weighs just a little under 200grams and the dimensions are 162.26×77.28×9.6mm.
