Samsung is reportedly launching the Galaxy S21 series in January 2021 at the Galaxy Unpacked event. While the rumour mill is currently busy churning out more and more details of the Galaxy S21 series, a new tip from tipster Max Weinbach reveals Samsung’s flagship lineup for 2021. Notably, the list of flagship smartphone does not include the Samsung Galaxy Note 21 series. Other than the Galaxy S21 series, the list comprises of premium phones like Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3, and Galaxy Z Fold FE. Here is what the alleged Samsung flagship lineup for 2021 looks like.
Samsung Likely To Ditch Galaxy Note 21 Series In 2021
There have been rumours of Samsung not launching the Galaxy Note 21 and Galaxy Note 21 Ultra next year. This, primarily because of the narrowing differences between the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series of smartphones. Winebach’s tweet reiterates these claims, further suggesting the end of the Galaxy Note series with the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.
Samsung flagships to expect this year:
S21 FE
S21
S21+
S21 Ultra
Z Fold 3
Z Flip 3
Z Fold FE— Max Weinbach (@MaxWinebach) November 15, 2020
According to Winebach, the South Korean tech giant will launch Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, Galaxy S21 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Z Fold FE, and Galaxy S21 FE. Out of the listed phones, three devices are likely to get support for S Pen.
The list has no mention of the Samsung Galaxy Note 21 or Galaxy Note 21 Ultra.
There have been rumours of Galaxy S21 Ultra coming with S Pen support. However, a recent report from Android Police claimed that the device will not have a dedicated slot for the stylus. Instead, Samsung will offer cases to carry the S Pen with the device.
The other two smartphones that are likely to get S Pen support are Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Z Flip 3. Winebach, in his tweets, did not specifically mention which three devices would get the smart stylus support.
Not much is known about the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3. However, we have the complete spec-sheet and features of the Samsung Galaxy S21, Samsung Galaxy S21+, and Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.
Samsung Galaxy S21 Series Specifications
The three smartphones will get powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 processor or Exynos 2100 depending on the region. Galaxy S21 and S21+ will sport 6.2-inch and 6.7-inch displays, respectively. Both smartphones will come with a Full HD+, 120Hz refresh rate display. The Galaxy S21 Ultra is said to get significant improvements and is touted as one of the best smartphone displays. According to the report, the Ultra model will come with a 6.8-inch WQHD+ display with an adaptive refresh rate of 1Hz to 120Hz.
In terms of camera, Samsung Galaxy S21 and S21+ are fairly similar to the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+. They are likely to house a 12MP wide, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 64MP telephoto lens.
