New Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 4G Variant Appears on FCC Certification Ahead of Launch

Samsung is planning to release a new Galaxy S20 FE 4G variant, and it’s no secret. The device has already cleared the Wi-Fi Alliance and Bluetooth certification in the past. Additionally, a few days ago, the Galaxy S20 FE 4G was even spotted on Geekbench. Ahead of the official launch, we also had spotted the support pages for the upcoming Galaxy S20 FE 4G variant on Samsung’s UK, Malaysia, and Philippines websites. Now, the Galaxy S20 FE 4G has gained the required FCC certification. The latest FCC certification being availed to the handset does indicate that its launch is imminent soon. Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 4G Gets FCC Certified

The Galaxy S20 FE 4G model that is spotted on FCC currently bears the model number SM-G780G/DS, SM-G780G/DSM, and SM-G780G. This is the same model (SM-G780G) which earlier gained the required Wi-Fi Alliance, Bluetooth SIG, and NBTC certification. The FCC documents reveal that the upcoming variant will pack a 4500mAh battery with 15W charging support. The phone will even offer wireless charging support. If we go by the specs of the phone revealed by Geekbench, this upcoming Galaxy S20 FE 4G model is expected to pack in Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 SoC. The phone might come with 6GB of RAM. Additionally, we can even expect Samsung to release a higher-end model as well, which might ship with 8GB RAM.

The S20 FE 4G is supposed to run Android 11 out of the box with Samsung’s OneUI 3.1 user interface. The device had managed to score 893 and 3094 points in the single-core and multi-core test respectively at Geekbench. The other specs of the phone such as its display size, camera configuration, and other details remain a mystery at the moment. However, we can expect the device to offer the same specs as that of the existing Galaxy S20 FE 4G, except that it will pack a different chipset.

To recap with the specifications of the S20 FE 4G, it was introduced by Samsung globally back in October 2020. The device features a 6.5-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O Display that has a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the smartphone is Samsung’s in-house Exynos 990 SoC. The phone packs 8GB of RAM and has 128GB of internal storage. It was introduced with Android 10 out of the box with OneUI.

In terms of optics, the device features a triple-camera setup that consists of a primary 12MP camera. The other two sensors the device incorporates include a 12MP ultra-wide lens and an 8MP telephoto sensor. For selfies and video-calling, the smartphone sports a 32MP camera that has an f/2.0 aperture. The device draws power from a 4500mAh battery that offers 25W fast-charging support.
