These leaked reports suggest that the upcoming iPhone lineup will get an incremental upgrade over the iPhone 12 series. The latest development is around the iPhone’s wireless charging capabilities. According to a new leak, the upcoming 2021 iPhones will have a bigger wireless charging coil. Let’s take a look at more details on the Apple iPhone 13 series specs, features and other leaked details.
Apple iPhone 13 series wireless charging details tipped
Apple iPhone 13 series debuts in September 2021. Ahead of the launch, another leak around the iPhone’s specs has surfaced online. The new video from EverythingApplePro, featuring inputs from Max Weinbach, reveals some key details about the magnetic wireless charging coil.
Apple could include a slightly bigger charging coil on the upcoming 2021 iPhone models, according to the tipster. The video does not reveal the wireless charging speed details. However, the tipster claims that Apple could introduce faster wireless charging support via MagSafe. The inclusion of a bigger coil could also result in the inclusion of the long-rumoured reverse wireless charging on the iPhone 13 series. Apple is likely to limit reverse wireless charging capabilities for the Apple Watch and AirPods with wireless charging cases.
Previous reports suggested that the new iPhones will get a bigger battery. The top-end 13 Pro Max will feature a 4,352 mAh battery. The 13 Pro and the vanilla iPhone 13 will have a 3,095 mAh battery, which is bigger than the 2,815 mAh cell found on the current iPhone 12 and 12 Pro models. The 13 mini is rumoured to pack a 2,406mAh battery.
Other details of the iPhone 13 series have also leaked in the past. The upcoming Pro iPhones will house three sensors along with the LED flash and LiDAR sensor. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed that the ultrawide camera on the Pro models will feature autofocus support. Apple will introduce a 6-piece lens instead of the presently existing 5-piece lens.
The most prominent change is going to be a smaller notch. As previously reported by MySmartPrice, the notch on all four iPhone 13 series models will get smaller. Apple will move the earpiece to the top bezel to reduce the size of the notch. It will continue to offer Face ID tech. Apple is also rumoured to introduce a 120Hz LTPO display on the Pro models. Other specs include a faster A15 Bionic chip and up to 512GB of internal storage on the Pro models.
