Huawei P50 Pro and P50 Pocket to Launch Globally on January 12

Huawei launched the Huawei P50 and Huawei P50 Pro handsets back in July 2021. The brand recently added a flip phone – Huawei P50 Pocket to the lineup. All three handsets are exclusive to the Chinese market for now. But, this will change soon.

Now, Huawei Malaysia has revealed that the Huawei P50 Pro and Huawei P50 Pocket will make their global debut on January 12th. Take a look at the teaser below,

The product pages for both Huawei P50 series devices are now live on the company’s Malaysia website. The product pages also reveal the complete specifications of the upcoming handsets. Based on the details mentioned, the global variant of the Huawei P50 Pro and Huawei P50 Pocket will come with the same specifications as the Chinese variants.

Huawei P50 Pro Specifications and Features

The P50 Pro flaunts a 6.6-inch Full HD+ curved OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a centered pinch-hole notch. The handset packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor coupled with Adreno 660 GPU under the hood. It boots Android-based EMUI 12.

The P50 Pro comes with a quad-rear setup including a 50MP primary sensor with OIS. It also offers a 40MP mono camera, 13MP ultra-wide-angle, and a 64MP telephoto lens. For selfies, it offers a 13MP shooter. The device is equipped with a 4360mAh battery, 66W fast charging, and 50W wireless charging support.

The P50 Pocket features a 6.9-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a centered pinch-hole notch. The handset also offers a 1-inch circular cover display with 328ppi pixel density and a 60Hz refresh rate.

The P50 Pocket is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor and Adreno 660 GPU. It offers up to 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of storage. The device boots Android-based EMUI 12.

The P50 Pocket offers a triple-rear camera setup including a 40MP primary sensor. It gets accompanied by a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 32MP ultra spectrum camera. For selfies, it offers a 10.7MP shooter.

The P50 Pocket is equipped with a 4,000mAh battery unit and 40W fast charging support. It comes with a USB 3.1 Type-C port and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
