Moto G62 5G Listed on Wi-Fi Alliance and Moto G82 5G Moniker Confirmed by Thailand NBTC Certification

Motorola is gearing to launch multiple smartphones under its portfolio. The company is expected to launch a bunch of new Moto G series smartphones in the Moto G series as well as the Moto Edge series in the coming days. We are expecting the company to launch these phones in the month of April and May, both globally and in India.

Ahead of the launch, the two phones in the Moto G series, the Moto G62 5G and Moto G82 5G have been spotted on Wi-Fi Alliance and NBTC certification websites respectively. Let’s take a look at more information on the upcoming Moto smartphones.

Moto G62 5G Wi-Fi Alliance and Moto G82 5G NBTC Listing

A smartphone with XT2223-1 and XT2223-2 model numbers belonging to the Moto G62 5G family has been spotted on the Wi-Fi alliance database revealing a few key details of the upcoming Moto G series phone. For starters, the Moto G62 5G will come with support for dual-band Wi-Fi and next, the phone will come with Android 12 OS out of the box. Apart from that, the certification does not reveal much.

On the other, another device in the series, the Moto G82 was spotted on the NBTC database with XT2225-1 in Thailand. This appearance further confirms the phone’s moniker as well as support for the 5G network along with LTE. The Moto G82 5G is said to be manufactured in the US, as per the listing.

Moto G62 5G: Specifications (Rumored)

As per the leaks (via Passionategeekz), the Moto G62 5G is said to come with a Full HD+ display and a high refresh rate display (90Hz or 120Hz). The device is likely to come with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It is said to run on near-stock Android 12 OS out of the box. Further, the phone is said to feature a 50MP main camera on the back and two more cameras, completing the triple camera setup.

The device will draw power from a 6,000mAh battery unit and is said to support 33W fast charging. Other rumoured features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a centred punch-hole selfie camera. While there is no solid information on the chipset being used, the phone could come with Snapdragon 5G SoC, but the exact SoC name is unclear at the moment. However, it might come with MediaTek Dimnensity series SoC, instead.

Moto G82 5G: Specifications (Expected)

Ahead of the launch, the Moto G82 5G has been spotted on multiple databases, and the device is likely to be powered by a Snapdragon 695 5G processor paired with Adreno 619 GPU and 8GB of RAM. Further, the phone will run on Android 12 out of the box and the device is expected to draw power from a 5,000mAh battery unit, which was also revealed earlier. Other features include dual-band Wi-Fi and dual SIM support.
