OnePlus is gearing up to launch its new premium smartphone in China. The company has confirmed that it will launch the OnePlus Ace on April 21 in its home country. The device is coming to India as the OnePlus 10R. Ahead of the launch, OnePlus has started teasing some key details of the upcoming smartphone.
The new OnePlus smartphone is the first from the brand to come with support for 150W fast charging out of the box. Other details of the device have been teased as well. Meanwhile, the Ace smartphone has been spotted on the Bluetooth SIG certification website. Let’s take a look at the OnePlus Ace specifications, features and other details.
OnePlus Ace Bluetooth SIG
OnePlus Ace will be the next premium smartphone from OnePlus launching in China. It will debut as the OnePlus 10R in India on April 28. Ahead of the launch, the device has been spotted on the Bluetooth SIG website. As per the listing, the phone has the model number PGKM10. The Bluetooth SIG website further confirms the moniker and reveals that the phone supports Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity standards.
OnePlus has already confirmed that the Ace will come with up to 150W fast charging support. The device will charge from zero to 50 per cent in 5 minutes. It will pack a 4500 mAh battery. There will also be a 5000 mAh battery variant that will support 80W fast charging out of the box.
The Ace is confirmed to come with a MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max SoC. It is said to be a customised version of the Dimensity 8100 SoC for the Ace. More details regarding the chip will be announced at the launch event.
In terms of display, the Ace will sport a 6.7-inch E4 AMOLED screen with a Full HD+ resolution. It will sport a hole-punch cutout at the top centre of the screen, which is a first for OnePlus smartphones. The screen will also support a 120Hz refresh rate. The device comes with a triple-camera setup on the back. It has the tried and tested 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera sensor along with an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera sensor. The hole-punch cutout houses a 16MP front camera sensor for selfies and video calls.
The phone runs Android 12 out of the box. It will have a layer of ColorOS 12 in China. The India variant will come with Oxygen OS 12 out of the box.
