Google is all set to launch the Pixel 7 series smartphone next month. As per the announcement, the Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, and the Pixel Watch will make their debut on October 6. Ahead of the launch, the upcoming Google Pixel 7 Pro has now been spotted on the Geekbench benchmark database. The benchmark listing for the device reveals some of the key specifications.
As per the benchmark listing, the Google Pixel 7 Pro will come equipped with Google Tensor G2 SoC which will bring about 10% performance improvement over the last-gen Tensor chip. Let us take a closer look at the Google Pixel 7 Pro Geekbench scores and specifications.
Google Tensor G2 To Bring About 10% Performance Improvements
The Google Pixel 7 Pro managed to score 1068 points in the single-core round of the Geekbench 5 test. Whereas, in the multi-core round, the score was recorded as 3149 points. These scores suggest that the Pixel 7 Pro will bring about a 10% performance improvement over its predecessor – the Google Pixel 6 Pro.
The benchmark listing reveals the presence of an octa-core processor with 1.80GHz frequency and 4 + 2 + 2 configuration. Out of these, 4 cores will be clocked at 1.80GHz. Whereas, the remaining four cores will be clocked at 2.35GHz frequency. As per Twitter user Kuba Wojciechowski, Google might make use of two Cortex-X1 cores, two Cortex-A76 cores, and four Cortex-A55 cores on the Tensor G2.
The smartphone made an appearance on the benchmark database website with 12GB of RAM, but we can expect the device to launch in other configurations as well. The upcoming Google Pixel 7 Pro will boot Android 13 out of the box.
The Pixel 7 Pro will feature a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a punch hole notch. The smartphone will offer a triple-rear camera setup which might include a 50MP primary shooter, a 12MP ultra-wide shooter, and a 48MP telephoto lens. The smartphone is expected to offer a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
