A few days ago OnePlus revealed that it would launch a new smartphone in OnePlus Ace 2 series in China. The new smartphone in the series would be named OnePlus Ace 2V, an affordable version of the standard OnePlus Ace 2. OnePlus later revealed the launch date of the smartphone through a Weibo post. The smartphone is set to launch on March 7, 2023, at 2:30 PM (GMT+8) in China. OnePlus has already started the pre-bookings of the device. The company has started revealing its specifications through Weibo posts. The latest post from the brand tells about the battery and other specifications of the device.
OnePlus Reveals OnePlus Ace 2V Specifications
OnePlus has revealed that the upcoming smartphone will feature a large 5000 mAh battery supporting 80W fast charging tech. The device would not bring support for wireless charging tech. The brand also revealed that the OnePlus Ace 2V would support 120fps gaming in League of Legends and 90fps in Game for Peace. It also tells us that the upcoming Ace 2V will have a thickness of 8.15mm and a weight of 191.5 grams.
Apart from this, it also confirms the existence of an IR blaster and full-function NFC with the forthcoming smartphone. Previously, the company confirmed that a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset built on 5nm would power the device. OnePLus China President also revealed that it would be available in 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB variants. The smartphone will feature a 6.74-inch flexible OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The display will have a 1.5K resolution with 2772 1240 pixels and a peak brightness of up to 1450 nits. The company also tells us that it will support high-frequency PWM dimming. It claims the 1.5k resolution display on the forthcoming device will consume 24.4% less power than a regular 2K display. The display will house the selfie camera inside the centred punch-hole and supports HDR10+ certification.
Previously, it was revealed the smartphone would have a triple-rear camera setup. The setup will comprise a primary 64MP sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 5MP macro sensor. The display will house BBK group’s favourite 16MP Sony IMX 471 sensor. The AnTuTu listing revealed the upcoming device would run on ColorOS 13 based on Android 13 out of the box. OnePlus will not skip the 3.5mm headphone jack with the smartphone.
The company aims the smartphone towards gamers; wired audio is a must-have feature for them. The upcoming OnePlus Ace 2V will continue to feature a flat-edge design similar to the Ace 2 smartphone.
